BallPythonZone.com
This website is stealing photos from SiscoReptiles and Brian Gundy.
I have informed them of it, and have also contacted the website as well.
Be aware of this misrepresentation.

I wonder if there's a defense?
-
Re: BallPythonZone.com
Sorry that i have taken the pictures without asking but i already talk to brian and he said it was ok. I own no morphs for right now. Im just new to the breeding game but i will contact the photo owners for permission to use the photo. I am not in any way stealing the photo or using them as mine. I have never said that they were my snakes or that i owned them. Sorry for the misunderstanding. And hope you can still be with us.

Re: BallPythonZone.com
Not only stolen but also hot-linked (stealing bandwidth from the web owners as well)
In order
- Sisco Reptiles
- Don Patterson
- Mark Petros
- Hot -linked from some other person stealing pictures himself
- Dave Harms (though I believe I recognize the picture style and I believe it might be from someone else)

That is ture. We have one w.c bp and 2 normals. But we have never said that the snakes in the photos are ours. I will contact them as well.
Thanks

Again we are sorry and are going to contact the picture owners for permission. If they dont want the pictures on the site they will be taken down.

Sad fact, you can fix what you did wrong. But the damage is done...

Re: BallPythonZone.com
Honestly I see your website as completely misleading and IMO a waste of my time. I see the first page and expect to see a breeder of high end morphs. Instead I am disappointed when I see your 'Available' and 'Collection' pages. I see no attempt to point out that these are not snakes you own. If I was the actual owner of those snakes, I would be pissed.
Every post I have seen you make has been whoring your site. I understand everyone has to start somewhere but you started at the wrong place.

If you want to become a Ball Python breeder, breed Ball Pythons.. Your work should speak for itself. If you are trying to get an early start building your reputation, you have already done some major damage.

I think you miss the point. NONE of those photos are yours. You need to remove them ALL.
Even with permission (which you should have gotten BEFORE posting them on your site), you need to give credit to the people who own those animals, and make a point to say "Hey, these animals are not mine, they are XYZ's animals, and they are used with permission."

Yes i was trying to get and early start. I am really disapointed at the damage i've done to my website
-
Re: BallPythonZone.com
Unless you put a disclaimer such as "photo being used with permission from XX", then it is assumed that all animals you have pictured on your site belong to you.
The moment a photograph is taken, it is copyrighted.
When I went to your site, other than the big Sisco watermark on the first one, I would have presumed all the animals on your site belonged to you.
Were I you - I'd take them all down.

Website hell, your reputation. You'll quickly find that this hobby has a loooong memory, and those who lie cheat and steal get nowhere fast.
It's okay to admire animals others have produced, but to take and use their photos is a no-no no matter what hobby you're in. Heck, I would have thought that with something like that, morals would have stepped in and said it's not okay to steal. Period. Under no circumstances. Never. Gettin' through?
-
Re: BallPythonZone.com
It's not just the pictures you have posted that were misrepresented.. You probably shouldn't have posted the video that proves you don't know what you are doing.
Breeding isn't something you should just jump into because 'everyone is doing it'. My advice is to get some actual experience under your belt. You JUST got your first BP and from what I have seen already, I would NOT trust you to provide me with a healthy specimen if I was a prospective buyer.

Re: BallPythonZone.com
You have "all rights reserved" on the front page of your site.
Do you understand what that means?
And your "donation" link to paypal...
What exactly are people donating too?

Re: BallPythonZone.com
I think the lesson here is posting someone elses pics, misrepresent and mislead which = a liar.
This is what the community will remember and think about you. Not good:colbert:
I see many people call themselves a reptile or BP breeder(on websites, forums and avatars) yet they have never hatched an animal.
As with anything in life you need to learn to walk before you can run or you will hurt yourself.
I had someone using my photo's on their site and Reptile Geeks page. They were in Germany so I guess they thought they were safe but the internet knows no geographic boundries. I contacted th RG and they were removed along with a bunch of other photos that werent thiers. In the long run you do more damage to yourself than good.
If you want to be a reptile breeder that is great, but like in any field, you gotta pay your dues like everyone else did before you;)

Re: BallPythonZone.com
I think the site-owner was just over-enthusied, and didn't think he was 'stealing' anything but cool pcitures to decorate his website with.
Now that he KNOWS it's a wrong thing, and a major misleading to use morph pictures he doesn't own, hopefully he'll clean up his website.
For the site owner. I'd post a apoligy, and if you want to show pictures of animals you WANT to produce one day, then you should contact owners of such animals and ask permission to use their pics to decorate your site, and make sure they are noted as animals you do not own.
The video you have up of your WC bp shows you do not have a proper set up, nor do you understand how to properly acclimate and feed a import.
When you eventually do breed, you'll get all normals with the snakes you currantly own. DO you have plans of what to do with the hatchlings?
I hope you get it all sorted out, and research a lot more before you get into trouble over anything else. Don't try to be a "bigshot" online, and be willing to say "I'm a beginner, but I'm sure enthusiastic! Can you answer my questions?" and you'll go a LOT further!
I hope everything works out and that you have good things happening with your snakes.
BTW: It's illegil to ship snakes via USPS. Might want to rem that too.

I don`t know who this Ball Python Zone person is, but he certainly never received my permission to use any pictures from my website. For the record, the pastel pic he`s using is mine. Who ever you are please remove MY picture from YOUR website.

No Deb, if you watch one of the videos on his site, hes unboxing a WC ball out of a box sent USPS.
And hes saying that reptile city sent it to him.
Sending reptiles via USPS is illegal.

Since you are online right now and have been most of this after noon why not take those pics down NOW  just logon to your control panel and take the site down until you can upload something else.

Well, I hope you learned a lesson today. Although I think the public flogging you got was a little hurtful and over the top.
Hopefully you can move on and people here will try to educate you instead of treating you like a pariah.
Good luck.

Re: BallPythonZone.com
personally its not just the pictures you stole ( which i have seen are taken off ) the site needs to be redone if you want to be taken serious. #1 in my opinion take off the videos that show you are a kid. #2 dopeboy isnt a very professional email address for a 'breeder' and #3 i would learn alot about genetics, and how to care for animals. might i ask what your setup consists of ? temps? etc? make sure you know about an animal before you inted to breed it or even care for it in any matter. but thats just my :2cent:

My mom was always tell me that i was crazy looking at ball pythons everyday. I really care about my reptiles. Thanks

No i keep my snakes in plastic bins with holes in them. I use newspaper and keep two hides in there. A water bowl big enough for the snake. Under tank heaters at the moment. The tem stays at 80-85 during the day.The hot side is around 90-95.At night the tems go down to 75-80

For a 16 year old, I gotta hand it to you for not losing your cool and calling everyone big meanies :gj:
I'm sure you'll do the right thing. We all screw up - but it's how you handle your screw ups that will shine through.
If you recognize the fact that you screwed up and are genuine about fixing your mistakes, then kudos to you sir :gj:

i agree with this 100% hes acting mature for a 16 year old. also i would reccomend trying to breed BP's before making a website and such. the sound of breeding sounds easy and sounds like fun, but its A LOT of work. i have never bred them but i did breed bearded dragons and it does cost a lot of money to tace care of baby animals. what if you decide you dont like breeding and want to get rid of everythign you started a website for nothing ( not saying you did but just hypothetically) theres alot of things to take int oconsideration before actually breeding and such.
edit:
just looked at the site alot more better with the apology and removal of said videos. looks like a good start for a better site
