Grace - New Pics

I know a lot of you have been following Grace's story since her first days as a very challenged little hatchling. For those that don't know Grace's story please check here....

Were it not for the excellent care of Tim and Monica Bailey and their committment to this little spider female, Grace would have had no chance at a normal life.

Well how's this for glowingly, wonderfully normal!!!

Unfortunately I could not get a decent belly shot to show you have very well she's healed. My camera is terrible and does not do belly shots on snakes with glaringly white bellies like Grace's. It really doesn't do this gorgeous snake any real justice to take a picture with a crappy digital camera like mine but I wanted to get these new shots done.

Grace is quite simply a dollbaby of a snake. Maybe it's all the extra handling she would have gotten while being cared for by Tim and Monica. Maybe in some strange way Grace sensed that humans went out of their way for her - who knows. All I know is Grace is incredible. I've always been told many Spiders exhibit an almost friendly personality. Grace has that and more. :)

Thanks again to Tim and Monica and a few special angels (you know who you all are) who helped place this snake with our family.

She's getting there, Connie. She's a bit of a picky girl when it comes to her dinner. Her Most Royal Highness Grace insists on only certain size ASF's LOL. Tim warned me of this so we cater to her. She's such a love though, no one minds her being a tad choosy. She and another of my females, Rionnach, vie for the "most choosy eater of the week" award. :rofl:

And she was born into the family most capable of taking care of her. :)

Nice to finally see those updated pics. I have to say that everything I have heard about spiders... sweet tempered and ferocious feeders has been the same for me (as with your Grace) just tenfold.

I could have a rack full of them. Nice to look at, and a dream to keep.

Thanks for the updated shots. I do miss her a bunch, so the pics were perfect. I am glad she is doing well, but I was hoping she might change her eating habits after her trip to your house. It's good to see you back around the site.

Thanks Tim, I love being back. Heck no worries about how Gracie eats. She's just a princess type like my other female Rionnach - they like what they like when they like it - I'm just here to serve em LOL It's nothing for me to have to hit my feeder bins 3 to 5 times to find the exact meal that Miss Ri will eat. She's always been that way so I'm used to it having owned Rionnach since she was only months old. Gracie is just special like Ri and has such a lovely personality - a total sweetheart. :)
