These were all taken with a D300 with an 18-200mm Nikkor lens.
I didn't have a tripod on hand and not too much time either...

Love the colors, but I like to take sunset pics with the sun still in the shot :)
If you had the time to sit there and wait for the right time, that would have been even more amazing, but overall, they are very nice shots. Just dark. :gj:

I agree. My dad did get some pictures of the sun setting in the sea...
I actually liked it dark so the emphasis was on the sunset and the colors, not the beach. What do you think? You think it would've been better with more light on the foreground?

It would have been better with a tad more light. The problem I see is that there is just too much BLACK. Takes away from the rest of the photo if you are trying to empasize the beach, and the sky.
I like the first one the most. I think that is more of the focus of the photos that I would be trying to take.

It's an experience to live abroad; my parents try to make the most of living the US so we travel a LOT. We go away almost every break I get.

i like the pics. the noise isn't noticible, except in two of the photos and it's really not that bad.
I do think next time around you should get down low and put the people at a higher vantage point...this would create a better silhouette of the people....if that is what you were even going for.

Well, I was trying to emphasize the sky, but still have the people... idk, I wanted the sky to just seem greater than the people.
