Okay, I am now 100% set on getting this morph...
Axanthic piebald!! They are the most amazing, beautiful, stunning BPs I have ever seen! I really liked both morphs, but I doubted that there was an Axanthic piebald... So I googled it and look at that!

But I'm afraid to look up the price. I don't want to burst my bubble just yet..
But, oh my god, I just can wrap my head around how amazing this morph is!

Markus did an awesome job producing that!! I stared at it for almost 30 minutes when I first saw it. Just amazed at the contrast between the two morphs.:bow:

They are amazing snakes... and the person that produced them and owns the copyright to the images of the Pied Axanthic (and the albino paradox you posted in your other thread) probably thinks so too.
If you post a pic you need to credit the source.
In this case Mark Mandic of www.ballpythons.ca.

Okay :D I just grabbed it off google, sorry. I didn't think to cite it, I was kind of absorbed in the moment. :P
Oh, and the thread with the albino paradox wasn't mine. o_0

Re: Okay, I am now 100% set on getting this morph...
I understand citing references etc etc but is it really necessary to copywrite an internet picture? It is my understanding and I may be wrong that information found on the net if it is not in a research or published form, along with if the information is common knowledge it does not need a reference. In this case if you google an image and it comes up as a picture that the individual allows to be cut/copied/pasted is this a copywrite infringement?
Not arguing, just looking for clarification for future use of this forum.

This is -absolutely not- how this is. All images are copyright the original photographer, even if they appear on a random image search. The original photographer should always put a watermark and copyright information on their images because people think that if they find something on the internet its free or something.. i'll never understand this school of thought but that is a rant for another time :)
With the common knowledge stuff, thats the stuff you dont have to cite in a paper or something (Ie, a fact like "snakes are reptiles" doesn't need to be cited because its common knowledge).

I saw that snake in person a few weeks ago when I was at Mark Mandic's place picking out some snakes- it's a fantastic looking creature.

yeah but if you're posting a link which has the image, your already citing it as the link being the source (granted that the picture from the cited link is original and owned by the link provided)
In other words, no credit is necessarily needed to give, due to citing the link...
And I only know this due to critical abstracts in which I did tons of in college...
:twocents:
just to clarify...

Holy smokes, why did you have to go and do that to me!? ;) Stunning, amazing!

Re: Okay, I am now 100% set on getting this morph...
Nice as babies but I wonder what it's going to look like when it's older since axanthic brown out a lot (Sad they don't stay that silver).
For price, you better put lot of money since there is only 2 person in the world to have hatched those and they want to keep it.
But Mark and the other guy I don't remember, were really lucky to hatch out those. Since they don't work with axanthic. It's just one het pied that he bought one day that was a possible possible het axanthic. So well, looks like he was and that he proved out many clutch laters when other possible were cross breed without knowing their genetics.

Re: Okay, I am now 100% set on getting this morph...
It really does look great as a baby. Not sure if I would dig it as much as an adult...although anything Pied can only look so bad.
As for the citing the source with the pics, even if it's not actually copywrite infringement I believe it is in the TOS for this site.
