Ghana or Togo. Or you can wait and see if UrbanPython hatches any for sale this year. The price of a ticket to Togo and a one month safari might be cheaper though.

Also if you hit the odds of finding another in the wild due to the genetic rarity you would most likely be hit with offers you wouldnt want to refuse. I would e-mail urban python asking when they expect their first visual and what they expect the price to be.

    How much? A lot! :D

You'd have to go to Africa, get an export/import license, get a CITES certificate and compete with the guys who do this for a living in areas that aren't always considered safe.

There is only one known toffee, and it lives at theurbanpython. Everything else is just hets.
I'm not sure exactly but they should be proving it out later this year or early next.
Even hets are expensive..... sure glad my buddy has one already!!!!!!!

If there's only one Toffee Ball, and they only produced "hets" - how do they KNOW that it's genetic, if they haven't reproduced it yet?

Here is the genetic guarantee that TUP gives on their website, when purchasing a Toffee.

    Quote:

Before purchasing any Toffee Ball offspring, please take a moment and read the following to understand what this purchase entails.

    Rare
The Toffee Ball is an incredibly rare python. In fact, it is one of only three known to exist. Although the other two each have their own individual names, they are recognized as the exact same morph.

    Proven to be recessive
2007 was the first year that the Toffee Ball produced offspring for us. Each of the offspring that was produced displayed a “normal” wild-type appearance. Considering the extreme visual qualities of this mutation coupled with the fact that there are two other identical animals in existence, we have theoretically concluded that the trait is simple recessive. Although most will agree with this conclusion, it is important to note that it is theoretical and because the project is still in its infancy, it has not yet had enough time to yield a visual Toffee.

    Guaranteed
Although we and many others have no doubt that the trait is inheritable, we can appreciate the potential anxiety that can accompany an opportunity that commands this level of investment. Therefore each and every Toffee offspring will be sold with a written agreement guaranteeing the genetics of this project. In other words your investment is 100% protected against the project not proving out. The long and short of it is we have no doubt that the Toffee Ball is a simple recessive mutation and we will stand behind that with a full money back guarantee.

    A fantastic opportunity
There are a very limited few of these offspring being offered. In fact, those investing into this project will be positioned to produce visual Toffees at the same time we do. Just imagine the excitement of being one of the first breeders in the world to witness the hatching of this spectacular morph. The Toffee Ball offers limitless opportunity and we are thrilled to be making this offspring available to you. Sincerely, Craig Stewart
Here is a link to the same guarantee: http://www.theurbanpython.com/guarantee.html

The other two know Toffee balls are called Paragons and are property of: http://www.renaissancereptiles.com/home/

From what I understand so far they have also been working on proving this trait out as simple recessive and although I have not talked to Renaissance Reptiles directly on the matter what I have been able to find out is that they have done 8 “Het” x “Het” pairings and produced 0 visual, but when doing a Visual (Their original male) back to a “Het” they where able to produce one other Paragon. So this trait is proven to be inheritable if the information I have is correct, but it’s odd that they haven’t hit the odds on 8 pairings of hets. Either way for the people that bought hets good luck with them!

Also, TUP might be able to produce a visual Toffee of their own this year if they produced their first “Hets” in 2007. I guess we will have to wait and see, and also wait to see if they do any “Het” x “Het” pairings…

    Re: Toffee Ball Python
I spoke to The Urban Python when I picked up my het toffee on feb 22nd, and they said that if it is genetic, this is the year it will be proven out. They did not have the original male toffee with them at the expo because "he is really busy right now!". They also told me that this is the year the sandblast could be proven out.

There is just one Toffee, but there are also the Burgundy Albino and Candy which both appear to be the same or very very similar, kinda like the butter and lesser. The Urban Python even says in it's guarantee about the toffee that the toffee is one of three known to exist. The Burgundy Albino and Candy are presumably the other two.
