    Surprise surprise!
My pastel female, laid 6 eggs yesterday. She was bred to my bee. Stupid me didn't even have the incubator running. I raised the humidity in her tub and left them in there with her for a day while the incubator heated up...

I knew she was gravid, but didn't see her ovulate and she wasn't laying in nice tight circles... Goofy girl...

She is one of my more curious snakes and actually came out to visit with me on Saturday. (I open the tub and she comes out on her own...)

She did kick out one egg, so we will she if it is fertile....

I was kinda freaked out about that loose egg and getting the incubator running. I forgot to take pictures...:O The loose egg was 96gm and the 5 egg pile was 496gm. My little flash light is dead, so I wasn't able to candle them yet.

I do have a picture of mom and dad ( most likely the dad.... I did put a black pastel in with her once)

    Re: Surprise surprise!
So I couldn't wait and snipped the eggs. Looks like I might have hit for the cycle!! Ok, maybe I'm just a little excited...

Either way there is a VERY white bee and another bee and what look like a spider (only one with brown scales). Then there are two pastels, one with a TON of blushing (maybe a super?) so I will know more when they pop their little heads out. I'll post pictures when they come out!

This sure does make up for my 3000+ female slugging out the other day... 10 slugs, one little 60gm boob egg.....

OK, so the other 2 peeked out and its another bee and another super....

That makes 1 killer, 2 bees and 2 supers from a beeXpastel?? Man, what are the odds of that happening? I'm starting to think that Bubba is a crappy looking killer!!! Or Daisy is a crappy looking super??

    Wow....

There was one egg that got rolled out and she did not coil. It went bad after 4 weeks in the bator. It was beginning to smell really bad so it got pitched...

top pic are the 2 supers and the bee, second pic is the killer, last pic is the bee again. The killer is a lot lighter than the bee - very noticeable in the head....

If I get a sec I'll take a picture of the spider, bee and killer together so you can compare. The camera tends to wash out some of the yellow so they can look similar in a photo. Keep reading and learning about BPs and you'll get there. :)

Spidey was still in the egg when I took the pictures, but came out right before I posted... Here she is hiding out in the egg...

BTW, they were .1 killer, 1.1 super, 1. bee and .1 spider....
