    need a name
    ok this is my new pick up from john @ salmon boas.com!!! what do you guys think!! She's bred from 2 salmonites and is a normal pos het 50% argentine. Not sure what to name her.. any Ideas? (by the way this pic is courtesey of John @ salmonboa.com Thanks John~!!!!)

    Ha! You picked the one thing that's almost impossible for me to help with. I still haven't gotten all of mine named. :slamhead:

    The only thing that comes to mind is Phish. Salmon -> fish Did I mention I'm a big dork. :nerd:

    I love the name Evita!! Always have. I'll put that one in the hat!! and Phish is creative too Great band!!! thanks all Keep the names comming. so far we have a great start!

    Well you could play off the whole "salmon" thing with names that refer to fish from the family Salmonidae. Things like:

    Gila
    Apache
    Kokanee (type of salmon, comes from the native word for "red fish")
    Dolly Varden
    Parr (not a type of salmon, this is the word for the lifestage between fry and adult salmon)
    Kenai (a river in Alaska where sockeye salmon come in great numbers to breed and die)
    Salar (part of the scientific name "Salmo salar" for the Atlantic salmon)
    Chinook (type of salmon, comes from the native word for the Alaskan King Salmon)

    Gee I suddenly miss my days working in a fish hatchery. :)

    Apache is a GREAT name!!! Nice!!... hey I got a question If thsi snake is from 2 salmonites is she a normal normal or a normal salmon?
