    too late to breed?
I know the breeding season is in full swing right now. My cinnie girl is finally over 1200g. Is it too late or should I wait for next season? Thanx.

Heck Doris, Mike and I are barely into this breeding season yet (that would be the snakes not me and Mike LOL). From what I've seen the past couple of years many breeders are having decent results breeding all year long.

If you feel she's ready to go, try her. If she goes, she goes.

Doris, I forgot to mention I have two males in with the ladies today. I just peeked in on them and well, they don't seem to mind that it's March if you catch my drift. :)

Yeah, go for it. I had a girl I was waiting until she put some more weight on that I didn't start pairing until about a month ago.

I don't think it's too late, either. I just started pairing one of my females up who was on the smallish side; I figure, if I stagger things, then I will have a less-crowded incubator at any given time, and also, babies at different sizes/stages. But that's just me and my weird way of doing it!

Its never too late too breed unless she's already ovulated!!
My rule is to keep breeding any slackers at a slower pace once the main breeding season is over. The males love it!! lol
I try to keep humidity as high as I can with breeders. Its not easy when the air up here is usually only 10-20% humidity.

    Good luck!

    Re: too late to breed?
well now.. I don't think she's ovulated because as far as I know she's never been placed with a male before... doesn't the introduction of a male as well as copulation bring on the ovulation? :scratches head: I gotta go reread breeding information.
