Eggs!!!!!

I woke up this morning and looked in one of my girl's tubs, and she has eggs, the same girl that was doing all that folding.
She is still going so I don't want to bother her, but I can see one good big egg. (if I moved the tub to take pics now, would she stop, or keep laying?)
I'll post picks when she is done.

I was watching her through the side of her tub, so far I can only see 2 eggs but they look huge! she still looks "full" so I am trying to leave her alone:D

there is a amazing, and big BP in my livingroom laying eggs, and I can't watch. oh wait I can, I'll just peek in every few min. I am trying to let her be so I don't bother her, so I'll just have to stay on here and take up some time.

If you took a couple pics of her it *probably* wouldn't disturb her enough for it to be a problem.......but why risk it? Just wait till this evening and you can take all the pics you want when she's done doing the hard work!

I don't know, when I was having my kid, I didn't think a camera click would change anything. I'll be screaming bloody murder for that irrespectful fool, but there's no stopping that baby. He's outta there, no matter what! :D

Man, this is the most exciting time of the year!!!

Now I go from watching the snake to watching the incubator:D

I can just immagine, as excited as I am now, when that first little head pips I will be jumping around and screaming.:D

Very nice, Jamie. You can tell she's a proud mama. Are you going to put them in an incubator, or let her do the job?

I put them in the incubator.
She had a nice bath, and now has a nice clean tub with new bedding.

2 weeks ago she was at 1,909g, and now she is at 1,167g. Those eggs were a total of 742g

I was thinking about letting her do it, but after seeing how skinny she was after they were all out I went with the incubator.

All they carry around here is sand, compost, and menure. I was lucky to find the moss.
the best thing I did find was a sand perilite mix, that was all anyone had. One day I'll move to a place that has this odd stuff, or I'll get a good job so I can get a creditcard and but offline.

You don't have a Walmart, Lowes or Home Depot anywhere near you? Even straight perilite would be better than moss or a sand/perilite mix.

Some Petsmarts were carrying Hatchrite last season.

We have a walmart, but they don't carry anything.we don't have any of the other stores within 50 mi.
I will keep looking, but I did check with all the stores in town.

Big congrats on your first eggs. As long as that moss is barely moist I wouldn't worry. Although moss has a tendancy to mold after a while, I used to use moss like that for corn snake eggs and I never had a problem. I'm all about improvising when it comes to egg media, and moss works great as long as it's not too wet.
