Birmingham in April!

I know it's still a bit of time before the April show (April 18th) but it's always fun to get excited about it and see who all is coming!

Karl and I will be there, for sure, and anyone else who may be coming from out of town and wants to stay where the other BP.netter's always stay, PM me for a code to get 10% off at the LaQuinta Inn off of Cahaba Park Circle (there are four B'ham locations, we all stay at this particular one - because it's the most affordable of the four).

I know that Shaun and Jamie, Tim and Monica, Ed and Carrie, Judy and maybe Petra are planning to be there so far. And Simon from B'ham will be picking up his leo from me in April!

Who else is in? Trey - are you and Jamie going to be able to make it? Christie? Can we talk you into staying Saturday night?

I might be there. The show is getting worse and worse.

My wife and I won't be able to make it this year, but next year is definitately goin to be our first time to that show. We're going to go to the show later this year in Atlanta though, unless its not coming and I missed that bit of info!

Yep, can't wait, its always a good time, no matter how good the show it. The last time we all went as a group it was actually a pretty good show, I know a few people came home with some new additions.

I plan on being there. In fact, I am thinking of going this month too. I've been wanting to bring my son to one of these shows and I think the one in two weeks will be PERFECT! As much as I love the little boogers, it's not nearly as much fun if I have to be mom. :rolleyes:

I will talk with the hubby about maybe spending the night this time around. If you wouldn't mind go ahead and send me the code... it shouldn't be too hard to convince him. The only objection would be if that weekend starts his outtage at the mill.

The weekend isn't really as much about the show, as it is about a bunch of friends getting together to enjoy the weekend! :D

I'll be going to the March and May shows. I'm only going to the May show because I'll be going on vacation to the beach so I scheduled it for the week after the show lol. I guess that's when you know your addicted.

p.s. I think we are even going to drag Sean Bradley (Exotics by Nature) with us. He should have a table as well.

Also anyone going this month late in the afternoon, please feel free to stop the crazy looking lady with lots of hair and two kids and say hi! :D We won't get there until one-ish because of a pinewood derby race in the am, but my son still really wants to go so we'll be there... just really late. :rolleyes:

The more the merrier! It will be fun hanging out with Sean too! I've enjoyed talking to him at past shows, so I'm looking forward to just hanging out that weekend!

There are never any guarantees that something won't pop up and drag Dean out of town that weekend...but as of now, he has no commitments on the calendar and is OK with me going. I'll probably arrive late on Friday because I'm bringing Petra this time and can't leave until after school.

I'm hoping to come, it depends on finances of course. I think I need a baby mexican black snake.

I actually just got back from it.
it was a decent show this month, cold blooded novelties stopped by and i picked up a thermostat and a scale from them. i also picked up my usual 20 rats from southern farms. I liked it, it wasn't as crowded this month.

Did you happen to stop by terry's table and see his breeders? My mouth was watering over that lesser butter and ivory!!!

I just got back myself. I did get to see Terry's table, and he had some very nice animals. I wish I could have looked a little closer but my kids were dragging me this way and that going oooohhh look at this mommy can I have one of these oh wait look at this mommy.... :rolleyes:

I am also seriously overcrowded here and need to thin out the ranks so to speak before I pick up any new snakes. My main focus right now is to find a nice female sunglow motley corn. I want a little bit of diversity to the collection. It makes for a better show for the kids, when I do the educational stuff.

Sometimes the shows have tons of really cool stuff, and sometimes it is just dead. This month was kinda dead or at least it was when i got there at 9. Last month there were tons of people, this weeks not so much. Next month should be good though.
