    Pastel of different names
I've heard of Jungle Pastels, lemon pastels, Graziani pastels.. Isn't Graziani a person who just happen to bred them and named his breeding after his name?

Are all pastels the same and are compatible with each other? Or Pastels just one morph with multiple names?

Ok heres the skinny on the names. A pastel is a pastel.. However long time a go in a galaxy far far away..Ok not really.

Here's what happened certain breeders line bred to produce a particular look in the same mutation. Graziani bred for flames and blushing, Kevin bred for bright bright yellows, Mark and Kim Bell bred for a different look. So thats where you get different lines of pastels. Its all the same gene just different looks of that gene.

    Hope that helps.

    To do this you would

A: have to import the animal
B: produce the morph from an unproven animal. (like my dinker)
C: Luck up and hit the odds on a Pied from unproven animals..JUSTIN!!!

Greg Graziani is more than just a guy that happened to breed Pastels. He is more like Mr Pastel. He was in on the ground floor of this morph. Pastels are like people You have to judge them individually.

D: Produce a brand new morph from a captive breeding of normals and then prove it out. What I mean by this is not a 'dinker', but rather a brand new genetic mutation of an allele. With the 'morphability' of ball pythons I hope this becomes the new frontier of morphs, rather than the screwed up african import situation.

OK so all pastels are one morph with multiple names that gives yellow colors right? So what's the difference between Blonde pastel and Lemon pastel? Nothing I assume. Example: Jungle pastel x Lemon pastel or any other Pastels would create Super Pastel right????

what is Ruppel Pastel.. The thing looks different and I assume combined with another morph??

The Ruppel pastels are different. That animal pictured is not a pewter and it is not a combo.
