I know there wasn't reason to worry, as it is breeding season after all, and it was only three months (only three months??), but she is my first snake and I worry about everything. Anyways, 3 full months with no food... just the thought of it makes me hungry. :hungry: It's so weird that any creature could go so long without food....

Anyways, sorry for the screaming, I am just really happy right now!

congrats i know how you feel i have a 6 year old male in our collection that has not eated in about 4 months.

Congrats! I'm going through the same thing (for the first time) with my BP, and it's been worrying me too. I'll just have to keep trying once a week till it works. I'm glad to hear your baby snapped out of it and ate for you. :)

Thanks, guys! I just needed to vent... unfortunately, it was a very small mouse, much too small for her, but I'm hoping she's fully over it and will eat the small rat too.

Of course, I just had to find something to worry about. Now that she's no longer "anorexic" (as my friends put it), I need to find something else to worry about! I was freaking out last night because, as I said before, it was her first mouse since I adopted her, and the mouse had bit me earlier, and she grabbed it and pulled it into her hide so I couldn't see if she was okay. :( I was freaking out thinking that it bit her (I did hold it by the tail in front of her hide, but after she grabbed it....), but I don't know if there's ever been a time when I don't freak out because the rat might have bit her. I am such a worry wart!! :( And I wasn't about to lift her hide because then she wouldn't eat it, and that would totally ruin my day...
