Does yours snake prefer you or your wife?

I don't have a wife.....

I don't think my snakes have a preference. If I had to guess I'd say me, but that because my husband won't touch the snakes unless it's an emergency. That's HIS preference. :giggle: :rolleyes:

I'm the wife and hubby doesn't take them out or anything (unless he's one too many beers) but he's the best cage builder/rat set up maker/helper there is, so I think the snake likes him too.

My balls like my wife:D

Um I am the wife, but I'm also the one that keeps bringing home cute little animals while he rolls his eyes and says "not another one"
All the snakes are mine, and I spend the most time taking care of them. But I do have to call him for help when cleaning the tubs of the bitey little ones.
mostly its "here hold this so I can clean its mess"
Also he normaly has a higher body temp than I do, so they always enjoy cuddleing up with my "heater":D

My GF's BP's tend to prefer her, and mine tend to prefer me. I think it's mostly based on who handles them the most.

im not married, however im the snake handler in my household. my girlfriend wont touch him unless i place him in her hands. she does not like to reach for him.

I am like Robin... I am wifeless. :tears:

I don't have a sig other, but they prefer me over my roomate or his kids/girlfriend

They do not “prefer” people (I am pretty sure they could not care less about me or my husband) however they can sense whether or not people are nervous or comfortable which means they will act differently.

MY snakes act very differently with my husband who is not comfortable with them.

My snake prefers me. Of course my husband would curl up and die before he would touch my snake. But yes, snakes do seem to know who their handlers are. You can call it preference or not, but they know who they know.

I agree with Slim, but don't tell him I said so. When we only had Bacchus, he like me more :D, but I also handled him more often because Slim was taking care of his cage. Now that we have 5 PBs we tend to handle our own. Yeah, Slim still takes care of their environments, that just leaves me more time to handle!

I'm the wife, and they prefer me. Probably because my husband won't get near them. He's a squeamish little girl when it comes to snakes. :rolleyes:

Most of my snakes do not care who handles them. My salmon, however, likes me more. I have never had her snap at me. My OL, tough has been snapped at many times. Her mom and brother are watching them while we are gone, and both of them said that she was very mean at feeding time.:O

My wife wont even go in the basement where I keep all my pets. She cant even look at them without dry heaving. I'm sure my snakes would prefer me over her because all of the kicking,screaming,vomiting coming from her would scare them.
