    Paradox
I've seen this 'Paradox Albino' and 'Paradox Snow' on another site. Have any home breeders had this happen?

I think the genetics are unproven......you might want to check before you shell that kind of money out for one.

But are the genetics proven? Is it co-dom, dom, or recessive?

    Re: Paradox
Think I read it is more of a random thing than anything, plenty more breeding needs to be done with them to prove if there is any kinda genetics that leads to these. Dont quote me on this and anyone that knows better please correct me but think this is how it works.

    Re: Paradox
Yeah I thought it was random. I wouldn't pay what some people ask for a paradox with it just being a random thing. I've seen a paradox male at a show and the owner was asking $500 without a genetic guarantee. It's not worth the risk when you can get some cool looking morphs for $500. Mohave, Pastel, YB, Albino, Ghost and etc others I'm starting to see in the $500 range. Now if you just want a pet, go ahead. I would keep any that I produce just because what they are and how they look....but unless I get a super deal on one I'm staying out. LOL maybe I'm just cheap.

    Re: Paradox
They are named Paradox's because no one knows what is going on with the genetics that causes the random colors from appearing in morphs that they should be absent from. I don't think anyone out there is trying to pass these by as genetic inheiritable.

No one that I know of....oh man do I wish they had the genetics to reproduce this morph.

I'm am pretty cheap too, but can honestly tell you that if I produced a paradox anything that looked half as cool as the ones jake or albey posted that I would have a huge price tag on it just incase someone wanted it more than I did. And as far as the paradox lucy goes, if I could afford it I would pay whatever for it. Might even trade a kidney or something!

$500 for a paradox would be cheap to me. Even if it was just a pet and not a genetic trait.

The only paradox that I know of that has been proven genetic is in Kenyan Sand Boas.

Ever see a Paradox Pinstripe? ;)

This is NERD's pic and animal but thought it was pretty interesting...

Well $500 might be cheap to you lol. For an unproven morph thats been seen in the wild for a good bit and ends up still being unproven after all this time. I think I'd rather buy a pair of clown hets, but then again this is just me.

Eh some people just want to own a cool looking snake :). I wouldn't mind having a Paradox Pewter, doesn't matter if it's genetic, it's a freaking hot looking snake!

The way i understand paradox' they are more of a birth defect rather than a repeatable genetic trait. Albeit a very pretty defect:D I was heartbroken when Jake sold that one. Didnt you send it out of the country Jake? Ans for dirt cheap too.

I did sell her to hgrub from this site, who is in Thailand. It killed me to let her go, but I had just been laid off from my job and I had already paid for 2 round trip tickets and a deposit on a room at the Hilton for the Daytona expo. It was a week long vacation for us, and that paradox paid for the whole trip including a rental car, food and drinks and a male bumble bee poss. het albino, with change. I might have been able to get more, but I definitely didn't let her go for dirt cheap. ;) I'm happy about the deal, and the timing couldn't have been better.
