how big do burm balls get?

i can't find any info on them besides a few random pictures. does anyone know anything about these snakes?

do you mean a burmese python? all ball pythons generally stay the same size only based on sex, females can be larger.

A burm ball? Do you mean a hybrid between burmese and ball pythons?
I've only seen one hybrid like that(that I remember) and it was not that big yet, I'm not sure if any have been produced far enough back to have a top size.

yeah, a burmese python and a ball python mix. i know they have been bred before. i 've seen random pictures of them here and there. i know of pictures that have been on the web for atleast a year but i've never seen a pic of one that had good size on it.

Bob Clark and Mike Wilbanks had a few in Arlington and they were about the size of a large adult ball python. I'm not sure exactly how old they were....probably about a year, but they may be the people to ask about them. Since its only been done once or twice and I doubt there are any adults I guess anyone's opinion is open for discussion. I can just say what I know and the biggest ones I've seen are about the size of a large ball :)

Scott wilkinson & John berry co-own a Female BurmBall, in the latest video of it, it looks to be about 6ft long, maybe weighing about 5kg. i dont think its that old. maybe 18 - 24months old.

the burmball is a farily new project. don't think there are any true adults yet. from what ive gathered on other forums this cross is a little tricky.

it is quite aggressive from what ive been told, she looks amazing though! shame it doesnt ball up though, i guess bumrs just dont get scard like ball pythons! lol

I am not a fan of hybrids myself...IMO, if the snakes wouldn't meet in nature, I don't think we should mess around by breeding them in captivity.

The one in the video and pics is about the same size as the ones Bob and Mike had.

Why do you think so, just curious? IMO it's one of the most beautiful hybrids out there.

I was speaking to a breeder who I'm purchasing a Super Dwarf Retic from and he told me that it is expected for these to reach a length 6 to 7 Ft but he's never seen an adult one yet himself. If you do end up finding someone who has an adult burmball and find out the length...I'm curious to know myself so keep us posted.

Lets see.....a 14ft snake bred to a 4ft snake......I know thats now how it was done, but for arguments sake lets just say that it is.

People cant take care of their burms so they let them go in the everglades (again just for arguments sake)

What if they start lettin go their burm/balls?


Not to mention that it looks just like a BP morph anyways.....Clownish
