    Ghost maybe? (load of pics)
Was helping my friend out at the show this past weekend and he had some WC gravid balls. So toward the end of the show, I look at one and something about it caught my eye. Looked very different from all the other ones. I took it out and thought "this looks like a ghost". So I buy it off him on the spot. Then I go and get a couple opinions and they agree that it looks like a ghost as well. Now I have never owned a ghost, so they are somewhat new to me; adults at least.

Got her home, soaked her, removed some ticks, and am now quarantining her.

So usually I do not ask these "is my snake a morph" question, but this one is an exception. She has all the characteristics according to the Hunters Guide to Ghosts/Hypos

    What do you all think?

Looks like a normal to me. But an exceptional one none the less.

Doesn't look like a ghost to me.

Does she shed clear? That will be a big indicator...

A lot of that could be her hormonal glow if she's gravid.

I would say not a ghost. You'll be able to see for sure if there's a pattern or not in the shed though.

Adult ghosts that I've seen are usually much lighter. Here's an '03 male for example:

I see what you're saying. I'm not very accustomed to seeing adult ghosts, maybe seen 2 tops.

Hopefully she hasn't had her pre-lay shed yet and I can check then.

She is a Burgundy, they usually prove out as a recessive morph, and a nice looking animal to work with.

Not even close I have several norms that look like that and a few that are even lighter. Still a looker though.

Yep, going to go with the glow idea also. It really is sad I have seen several vendors selling WC Gravids with exceptional glows as Possible Ghosts. They drop their eggs and darken right back up. In the end that person paid extra for an animal they thought could be a ghost because they really have never seen how extreme the glow can be on a gravid female.
I know I almost fell for it several years ago when ghost were alot more and actually saw the animal for sale from the same vendor for a fraction of what they wanted before she laid eggs and darkened back up.

I would say a normal, that may have her gravid glow going for her...but in some of the pics, she looks straight up normal.

What are you going to do with her once she lays....?

Thanks for all the pics as well. You all have some great looking ghosts. They're on my list to get, but not a top priority.

I've had goo success so far. I've gotten 2 of 3 to eat. One I got to eat weekly, sold her to a buddy, she didn't eat for him, I took her back and she continued to feed. Very odd.
