I would not have caught it, but Jer was helping me with the snakes... and he NEVER does.

I told him to give her water and he asks me "who is this?" I calmly say... you know that snake... and there is a pause and he says "No seriously who is this?"...

I turn around and have a mini fit and yell "Get The Camera!!!" :D

Thanks, yeah, she is high wattage. :)

And she has been bred to my het blue hypo Yvon, so I will throw him in for a few last goes and see.

He is bit neurotic, he thrashes for the first 24-36 hours and gets all spazzy on her.

She has been lightening all season, but she kicked it into high gear the last few days. Easily she's doubled the magma.

All het... all girl clutch... I am down with that action.

She is doing me proud... she is ovulating right now. :)

I am sure last year they had a longer time between the glow and ovulation, but I know a few have made me crazy before with not following timelines to a T.

Guess I have to get that incubator plugged in... or something? :)

heh... you don`t know my neighbours, they phone the cops when I am wearing outfits that are too loud. They would lose their minds if I actually let loose. :)

Have to say though... after having all my first out of the way I am remarkably calm this season. Just going through the motions.

But I know when I wake up to eggs I will do a little happy dance (or 10). :)

I brought this thread back to ask, why do ball pythons glow? I'm sure it has something to do with breeding I just wanted to know specifics.

Hey Zack... I have no idea what makes them glow like that...

I have heard it has to do with humidity to internal temps... but how it works, I don't know.

There are cases of snakes that lighten up and stay light, been 3 on this site that I have seen, but why that happens seems to be speculative.

Tim Bailey - Muddoc, had a theory (I think it was Tim) on why some lighten and stay light, perhaps it may be a similar thing at work, but just on a short term.

If anyone knows they can interject.

My neighbours do not know much about anything... so my snakes are off limits for them. :)

Antoinette is on egg watch right now... so fingers crossed.

I palpated 8 follicles on her, so we will see. :)

She is cranky and twisting herself into knots so it looks good.
