New JKR Website!
Hey fellow bp.netters, I am very excited to announce that the NEW and IMPROVED J. Kobylka Reptiles site is now live! :gj::gj::gj::gj:
A big thanks to bp.netter Aaron Palmer for building this site for me. He and I have been working on it for nearly three months now and I could not be happier with how it has turned out...
I invite all of you to give it a spin and most of all I want your feedback!!! See a typo? Miss a feature? Love something about it? Please leave a comment here or send me an email. I've been keeping quiet about it for the last few months and now I'm dying to hear what all of you think!!! :)
Thanks!
Justin
Here's the link for those who can't spell my name... (everyone) ;) www.jkobylkareptiles.com

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm hoping to get lots of DIY's up over the coming months.

Re: New JKR Website!
Awesome new site!! It looks great!
Something I thought about while looking around was when you go to your collection page, and you have some of that type of ball available, where it says "currently available" it would be nice to be able to click on those words and have it take you to where it shows which ones are available. (On the clown page, say you can click 'currently available' and it takes you to the available clowns, since you already have the available list sorted)
Also, you may list your clutches from first to last, so that the most recent clutch is the first one you see on the "Incubator" page. That way people can just pop in and check the page, with out having to go through what they have already seen.
Just some thoughts....congrats on the nice new site!! ^_^
***Ah, I don't know if I found a bug, or if it's my computer but from the "General Info" page I can't actually click any of the links on the right. Well, you can click them but they don't take you anywhere.... I've even tried going back a couple of times.
***One more...when I went to look at the 'full story' on your line of pieds or the pastel pieds (from the links on the pied page) it broke. :P It comes up with a "404 ~ Page not found".

Thanks for the bugs, the first one is my fault from earlier today it'll be fixed later tonight when I get home, I'll look into the broken link.

Looking great Justin! :gj:

Re: New JKR Website!
I checked the broken link, apperantly I didn't upload an entire folder! Again will be fixed when I get home, I put in a place holder page to keep the 404 from showing up.

I can't design worth crap. I'm all code. I like the javascript, I imagine there's some AJAX going on back there?
Either way man, I really like it. Looks easy to make, but it's very well done. (Now that I just typed that, it sounds kinda rude, but I'm not trying to put it down in anyway.)

Yeah...I'm sure. :P I'll just laugh "with" you and keep debating on whether or not I should try to hire Aaron to help with my programing that I have to force my way through this semester.

Edit: Do you really have to jumble your javascript? I can't read it now. :(
AJAX isn't really a code, it's more of a methodology of mixing Javascript and some dynamic scripts (like PHP) and XML to create a very user interactive and user friendly experience.

Re: New JKR Website!
It looks amazing! Very Sharp and clean! :gj:
And what is this? Your "09 project offspring" includes the possibility of super pastel pieds, Pastel YB Pieds and dreamsicles?!? WICKED!
*Fingers crossed for ya*

I'm going to keep believing that that whole post wasn't in English and I won't feel quite so computer illiterate. :D
