what's the most you've spent.....

i paid 1750 for a pastel butter

760 for a Fire and a Pastel, both females.

Just got into the morph game and I've only spent $200 each on a male spider and pastel female. --Josh

I have wanted an albino forever but can't afford one.

So I am a cheap'o the most was $600 for two big normal girls that are poss het for albino. ($300 per snake).

Sorry akaangela, but I think paid a little too much. I've seen poss. hets for $50.

My only ball python is a CB normal male with some distinct and odd characteristics, I picked him up for $15 from J&J at the Manchester Expo. I'm also getting a pair of African house snakes this week for $50. Not a big spender.

I paid $80 for my fancy normal female ball at a pet store (she was only about 8in long)...and yes I know she would have only been around $25-30 at an expo but she was worth it :)

I did pay $110 for my creamsicle okeetee female corn from a breeder...that was almost 2 years ago now

actually it was a great deal. Both girls where over 2000g when I got them in 2006. I have not been able to prove them out yet but next year I look to pair them with either a 100% het albino or most likely a spider, pastel or majave. Shoot I might just pair them with all 3 and see what I get. I was told AFTER I got them that they where poss het for albino, so it was a bonus. When I got them it seemed like big girls where hard to come by. Nowdays it is easier to get a large female.

I've gotten great deals on all my boys so far.

I paid 5-6 hundreds for my snakes.

I wonder who buys all the really expensive ones anyways.

Lets see I don't like to tell what I pay for animals but. I can tell you that on more than one occasion I have dropped well over the 2001.00 high mark.

I plan to drop at least 10K this year on animals.

Got a great deal on a 1.1 pair of lessers and .1 pinstripe (Kingpin trio) for just over 2400

well i hope to have 10k worth but hopefully i paid 5k:O

just started. I spent 30 on a normal and soon looking to get a spider or mojo

I paid $850 for my adult female pinstripe ball python.

It's reasonable for how expensive morphs are. And Plus you've probably been in the hobby for some time. But 10k for a snake is way out of my league at this point. You must be a big time breeder!!

Freaky won't spend 10k on one snake...notice he said animalS

Most I've paid was $325 for a mojo & 1100 g normal girl

I have paid $1500 each a few times.

Our Lemon bee was around $1750 when we got her. Prices have definately dropped on them, but I would think her price has actually increased as she is almost up to breeder weight.

The most expensive balls i bought were my albinos. They were 1,100 for the pair. But ive paid over a thousand bucks for a gecko or 2 hehe.

last year I spent 13k on a group of animals + racks.

I've paid over 2 grand on a female het pied. I still haven't produced a pied yet and hope I can do so before the homozygous animals fall below the price I paid for a het.

0.1 normal was a rescue type thing, so free/priceless

and the 0.3 poss. het pied and 0.1 het albino I'm getting in a couple weeks = $450

So all together, $1,000 for 9 snakes but I couldn't even begin to count what I've paid for UTH, CHEs, moss, tanks, etc. etc. etc.

And I haven't had any vet bills yet. Can't wait till that one comes up. ;)

Looking to get more visuals, less hets... I really want to get a male albino, male pied and female clown this year, so I'm looking to spend ALOT more than I have so far. lol

I am not sure how much any 1 animal cost in our house. I think the most expensive one i can put a price tag on was my 700 dollar pinstripe het ghost male. We usually work package deals. Heck some snakes in my house i don't even know what someone else paid for them. Got to love friends that like to buy cool snakes.

Quite a few of my balls were free, as they're "rehomers". I paid $500 for the het albino girl baby, and basically got the male for free. Aaaack! My het pied 1.1 pair was $1150....can I change my vote??? :oops::oops: I spent some bucks for the big normal girls, ea. time I bought one. The single most expensive snake I've bought was my SD retic, at $550.

Now, being unemployed, I'm out of the deliberate buying biz, unless I can find a snake I reeeeaaaally gotta have. (I'm looking at spider females again this season), or unless I can cut a deal on a couple of the normal males I have to help boost the pocketbook. Otherwise, I'm just feeding the babies to grow 'em up enough to breed for the pied and albino.

I always look for the best deal and the most i spent was not actually money. I traded my Wii for a spider and a pastel. I kind of miss my Wii but it was definately worth it!:banana:

The most I spent was $550 on an 07 BHB female cinny. I dropped about $4000 last year on 9 snakes plus building my rack. Last year I did a lot of freelance work outside my day job, so I didn't mind spending the cash.

We got our snake for free 4ft male he is 6 but he a sweet heart.why my wife called him candy man all we paid 4 his hide out hut :O

Are you sure it wasn't a female het for caramel? That price sounds like what a het would cost. Unless the person who sold them could careless about there value or making money. But then again, we are in a recession and who knows his situation.

I think the cheapest I've seen caramels was $1100 for a male at White Plains.

Nope, great looking female caramel with no health problems at all. I'm really jealous, he offered it to me for $600 and I'm debating buying her for some projects but I've got too many going on right now.
