    UFC Penn vs GSP
so the big event is tomorrow, finally. time to draw the line in the sand, who are you going with the Canadian athlete of the year, or the Hawaiian crybaby of the year?

i'm on the fence on this one. they are both amazing athletes, but i've seen far more improvement from GSP since their last encounter than i have from Penn. If penn can't finish GSP in the first 2 rounds, i see him gassing and GSP pounding him out in the 3rd.

Oh it's GSP for sure! If he doesn't.. not sure what I will do..

GSP trains way harder and way more the BJ does.. :)

Hawaiian crybaby of the year - LMAO

Dont forget it is a FIVE round fight. I cant pick a side I like both of these guys. If one thing had to come in to play it would be that Penn is fighting in the 170 weight class again after being in his normal 155 class for a few years now. Those extra pounds could come into play. I am just hoping for a great fight.

yeah i'm aware. but i don't see it going 5 rounds, i'm predicting a stoppage in the third if penn can't pull out a win of his own in the first 2. although if it does go into the 4th or 5th round, that will be even bigger trouble for penn.

I think its gonna be GSP all the way! He deserves it more with the hard work he has put into it. Plus he a phenominal fighter and has improved so much since their last matchup. I mean, he is now out-wrestling the wrestlers like Koschek and Hughes. He makes them look bad now. The way he can predict when they are about to strike, then take them down with finesse is amazing. No bar for me, I'll be watching them on the 120" screen at home..hehheh.

is the fight going on atm?

Wish I was able to hit up a bar to watch, but various things are keeping me home this evening.

I'm rooting for penn. Who has the advantage though? GSP certainly looks tougher, faster, more flexible, and better conditioned than just about all the fighters in the UFC.

Machida looked amazing against silva too. completely destroyed him! now i want to see machida take apart that punk Rashad.

Penn was just outclassed. he was gassed halfway through the second round, breathing through his mouth and just got destroyed. He didn't really do anything offensive the entire fight.

I think this is the first time I've seen Penn bleed in a UFC fight...glad to see GSP was the first to make it happen....amazing fight...no idea who can compete with this guy, he's constantly improving at such a fast rate....as far Machida goes...WOW...I love watching that guy fight, you never know what to expect from him.:gj:

Can't wait until I actually get to see the fights!

I was hoping machida would do well, sounds like he did! He's gotta be one of the smartest, quickest-thinking fighters out there.

His brother is the one who threw in the towel.

"George, I'm not kidding, I'm coming in there to fight to the death..."

Man I do not like BJ.. Did anyone watch the primetime show? Because look at the difference in training, all it ever showed was BJ jogging, never trained properly.. Dana White had to call him to make sure he was training and he wasn't..

    Absolutely dominated him! So Happy!!!!

GSP is on a roll and I was extremely happy to see him beat BJ...BJ has become too cocky and letting all the hype of the past get to his head...Yes, he's good, but the Prodigy isn't unbeatable as we saw...Go GSP...

looks like Machida is getting robbed again.

dana has said that if Rampage beats Jardine, he gets first shot at Rashad. If Rampage loses, then Machida gets first shot. yeah Machida is getting a guaranteed shot in 09, but i think he deserves it before Rampage does.

GSP is a machine. I dont think there is anyone in his weight class that can compete with him.
