Guess what fed ex delivered this morning...
Got this little guy for an early birthday present from my husband. I have been wanting one for almost a year.
This little guy is so cute.. and teeny. Oh and all full of himself, I got the full cobra spread, hissy fit, and musked.

Very pretty Hoggy!!! And I love our hoggy's attitude too! He used to hiss and shake his tail like he's a rattlesnake! Even strikes at you quick-like! We've had him a month now and he hasn't done it much anymore. I know it's a good thing that he feels safe enough with us but I kinda miss it.

I thought Mexicans were a subspecies of a western hognose... but then, i could be mixing my hognoses up.
Re: Guess what fed ex delivered this morning...

They are, their ranges overlap each other in certain areas. The Mexican and the western are called 'Plains' hognoses. They both are similar but pattern changes, color changes, and scaling is slightly different, but not drastically. Some even interbreed and make babies that look alot like one or the other in the same clutch. Pretty cool but some people hate these 'mulatto' type hognoses. I call them multi-racial :P Lol

Great pattern on him for a western. Congrats!
Re: Guess what fed ex delivered this morning...
I love it! Reminds me of Charon in a lot of ways actually. It is definately a Western. Mexicans have more mixed patterns.
P.S. For the fun of it: IT'S HOGGER! :D
