I think the super pewter looks amazing! The silver bullet is my dream snake, and this is even better than that!

I have to say that I'm not really a big fan of the way it looks, but would be nice to have because everything it throws will be pewters at the least. Just think of the possibilities

Depends on what you mean by "x". I use that for "cross" like as in breeding. You could not get this animal from breeding a super pastel to a super black pastel because each parent could only give one copy of the same gene even though they each have two mutant copies. That breeding would produce 100% pewter though.

If you meant the combo of both super pastel and super black pastel in the same animal (I would have used "+" for a combo of genes) then that is what this animal appears to be except that I have no idea if it's black pastel or cinnamon.

Right, just imagine what damage that thing could do. Pair it up with a super pastel and :boom: all silver streaks/sterlings. (The actual super pewter is from the cinnamon lineage btw.) Breed it to a pastel lesser, and you'll get all pewter lessers, and silver streak/sterling lessers.

What do you mean the name sucks? Pewter = cinny x pastel, so a super cinny super pastel should be called a super pewter, what would you call it? Haha :D

I assumed Marc was saying that there are 2 ways to make a pewter... so without the cinnie or black in the title you do not know which one it is.

As with so many idiotic names in the ball python industry, lets make one up to confuse even further. This beautiful creature is a Super Pastel Super Cinnamon, why Super Pewter? might as well call it a Super Silver Bullet or a Double Super Pewter, what I am saying is the dude that named it neglected the Super Cinnamon aspect of this animal, a better suited name would of perhaps avoided further confusion, that thing ain't a Super Pewter, I'd hate to be a newbie learning genetics these days, :rolleye2:

what would you call it? super pewter is completely logical to me and i consider myself a newb.

I agree. I like the names that state what the snake is.

Just my personal pref. When I hear Super Pewter then I am left wondering if indeed the person representing it is clear on the genetics.

Just a personal pref.

(same having myriad names for the various lines of the same morph).
