Celeb sightings by BP net members?

Ok, now this is completely random, but who has a good celeb story? :)

I once met KD Lang in a hotel lobby back in her Pollyanna days. I thought she was a guy... then I saw the sawed off cowboy boots and came unhinged with love, gushing, and admiration... not one of my finer moments. :)

I also shared a payphone carousel with Bruce Greenwood in LA once. I knew I knew him but wasn't sure so I had to call in my friend Rhonda she has a fined tuned eye. She was all excited... "YOU TOTALLY BREATHED HIS AIR!!!"

And yes... I saw Julia Roberts in a car in LA on another trip. I hate celebs, but if I had to see one she is pretty high on the list. And being that she drove past me, that is kinda like being married right?

A trip to Vegas was very productive, I ran into two... yes, two whole celebs. Tom Jones walking down the street (I seriously get freaky over Tom Jones so this was a good thing), and Mena Suvari was chowing down at 4 am at the nastiest Surf and Turf buffet on the strip.

A friend of mine met Brad Pitt in a bar in Vancouver... buddy has NASTY BO!!!

Another friend met St Angie and said she is kinda freaky looking in RL.

And just for fun... my friend Elisha met Debbie Gibson in a bar... and she strolls over and gets SUPER DUPER excited. She starts gushing and saying "OHMIGOD YOU ARE..." and when DG said "Yes, I am Debbie Gibson" my bud went all slack faced and said "Oh. I thought you were someone else, sorry."

There are more random minor meetings, but for now this is too much. :P

When I went to Vegas about a month ago I stood in line behind big Pauly from O.C. Choppers at a Starbucks in O'Hare airport. He looked pissed off so I didn't engage him. While in Vegas I met Raekwon from Wu Tang at the HOB bar before they went on stage. I saw Eminem and Ice-T about 10 feet from me at a Warped tour, but I had nothing good to say to either of them. I met a bunch of bands over the years, but nobody super cool. Rancid, Coal Chamber, Powerman 5000 and Deicide are probably the most popular. Nobody too special.

I have a buddy in LA who's best friend's with Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynomite, and my uncle was good friends with Jason Newstead back in the Black album years. My whole family in AZ used to get free tickets and backstage passes everytime Metallica went through Arizona, and he even gave $10k to the children's charity my uncle volunteered at. Seems like a nice guy, but he's a jazz fan :rolleyes:

Well I pull up at this gas station, there is a huge non-descriptive tour bus.

It did not have any names on it or anything... I thought it was kinda weird but just kinda ignored it. I go into the store and every one in there except the cashier me and one HUGE FAT guy have on the same blue shirt.....

I thought this was weird but i figured they come off the bus. I get my soda and go up to the counter. The FAT guy turns around walks straight into me and looks at me like I am the one who is a dumb butt and I should have known better then to be in his way.

I recognized the guy but I was like... Why the heck would I know a fat guy from a different town. Then I realized that big fat Jerk was Fat Joe the rapper.... I don't like rap to begin with, especially a fat arrogant d-bag

When I was little, my family and I were on a road trip with 2 separate cars. One of them broke down so who stops to help! Billy Ray Cyrus of course! In his tour bus! After we both pulled back into traffic, he was chatting with my grandma on the CB for a few miles like they were old friends!

When I was like 14 I saw Harrison Ford outside during a Star War convention (yah... yah.. I know) and promptly got kicked out of the convention for trying to kiss him... :oops:

What can I say, I was so in love with Han Solo :P

Do athletes count? When I was about 13 I met all of the Dallas Stars and got a T-Shirt signed by them (my ex-wife gave it away.... >:l They were all so cool and friendly. Madono has always been my favorite, went to a stars game a few weeks ago he shot the winning goal in OT. It was friggen sweet.

Oh yeah... some of the Seahawks went to my church...

I seen John Rieger and Gary Orner at the Indy show this month!! I swear they were just like regular people.

I used to live in TN and my brother went to school with Miley Ray Cyrus. Billy Ray Cyrus came to all the school events. He always seemed pretty stuck on himself. Ran into him once or twice at McDonalds (well, ran into his people, he never came in, but everyone would go out to see him in his car).

I also used to go to a lot of youth conventions, so I have met quite a few Christian bands, Seventh Day Slumber being the biggest of them. Got to hang out with them too, b/c the show was so small that night ^_^

Where do I start. Well i guess my first celeb meeting would have to be star trek characters at conventions, but that was like forever ago. Then i got to meeting a number of country singers, like Paul Brandt, twice, had a drink with steve fox, hung out on a bus with derrick ruttan, met others too but my fav was meeting Lonestar, many times.
The best so far would have to be meeting and getting to know Hal Sparks. He came to edmonton to do stand up comedy , Chris Bonno was with him, hes a cool guy too. Anyway went to the show 5 times. My mom knows him and after his final show we all went to dinner together. Hes an actor/comedian/singer. He was in the show queer as folk and also in this scene of spiderman 2.

I've had dinner with a few people from the LA dodgers. Can't remember who though, the last time was five years ago lol. Also met and hung out with a few big surfer guys. A friend of mine's brother's dad (lol) grew up in Long Beach and was best friends with alot of these famous sports peoples and I was over there alot when they all got together. His dad also used to hang out and do illegal things with everyone from Sublime before Brad OD'd.

I've met alot of people in bands, including Jimmy from MSI (whom I got a hug from :D :D), Adam D from Killswitch Engage, Dexter from The Offspring (Oh man he's smexy), and others.

Oh yea, I grew up listening to Jeff Foxworthy since I was like five, and used to love him before anyone else even really knew who the heck he was. Does that count? :P <3

I met Evander Holyfield, the guy who Mike Tyson decided to make a meal out of his ear in the oh so famous 1997 match, at six flags. He was a cool guy.

I worked for Nolan Ryan for a whole year.

I've met Carol Shelby and Larry Shinoda.

I've met and talked to Emeril.

Oh one other one I was in the same choir as Lance Bass.. Back when he was cool.

Ive met... Whoopi Goldberg She came to my school when i was a kid, and was also in my grandparents antique shop, she ended up buying an end table of some sort... That she also pointed out on TV once. * cant remember when, it was so long ago*

Ive met Sean Burke, and... a bunch of the old Whalers players. I was part of this club thing, and i played hockey ( goalie ) I also did a Hockey camp, where a couple of the players were out on the ice with us.

Burke... is huge. oh my god. LOL

Ive probably met others..... I dont pay attention enough, there are a few celebs that live in my area * Meryl Streep, Michael J Fox, James Taylor... Oh yeah, ive met him too. I sold him some toys when i worked at the toystore. Hes a nice guy too.

A friend of mine who works in a coffee shop met Michael Meyers.... Lucky!!!

We hang with Dave Hlubek from Molly Hatchet on a regular basis, and I ran into Ned Beatty in Publix when him and Burt Reynolds were filming that series they had yearrrrrrrs ago.

I can't cay that I met many famous people, but our town and state attacks a lot of them. Yankton is host to Ted Nugent on a regular basis, and :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r: Chaney for hunting. Ozzy was here and stayed in the house kext to me for a couple days. I have met a lot of people from Christian bands due to helping setup a lot of their concerts (well, the small gigs we hired them for).

I met a few cool people while I worked at the Cracker Barrel here :D. It's the only one in NH and people from down south get hooked on the food so they came in to our store.

Lets see, I personally waited on Adam Sandler twice, wicked cool guy and left great tips. The whole Aerosmith band and a bunch of their crew (pissed me off though because they all came in 5 minutes of closing and we were there cleaning til like 1AM). A couple of wrestlers, don't remember their names but there was a HUGE black as midnight guy with long dreads and a couple big-old country boys with crew cuts. Thats about it for the big ones. Met a few local celebs working there too but nobody anyone really cares about.

Oh yeah, I played pool with Sully from Godsmack for a few hours once. He's a major bleep though!

Cuda, This reminds me... About 10 years ago I came across Ted Nugent South of Jackson,Mi. He was broken down in a 1960's Ford Bronco that was painted with zebra stripes. The rubber fuel line had rotted away. I drove him to the nearest hardware store about 5 or 6 miles away where he bought some rubber hose of the same size. When we returned to the vehicle, 2 of his lackeys were hovering around it. They installed the hose. He offered me a candy bar for helping him out. I declined.

I too saw paul sr. in Vegas back in feb of 2007. However, I was ther working for five week at the con-expo show there. I work for Link-belt cranes, and he was there presenting a chopper for Manitowaccranes. I also got to meet Sara Evans :bow: Mike Rowe from dirty jobs,:taz: and a whole bunch of hotties. I was there working though for 5 weeks setting up stuff and then taking it down. I'll post pics if I can find them..

oooh lets see. most of the people that I've met are musicians. Davey and Jade from A.F.I, everyone from Linkin Park (twice), Everyone from Incubus( backstage passes to their concert), Amy Lee from Evanescence ( she's so short! Only like 5'2"!!) Morgan and Mercedes from Kittie (was able to talk to them for about 30 minutes before their show. There were hanging out in the back and a lot of people didn't recognize them), and Leisha (alice Pieazeski) and Camila from the band Uh Huh Her. I think that's bout it.

I've been trying to remember all the people that I've met all day. LOL. I lived in Vancouver for 2 years and LA for 5 trying to do that acting thing, so.....here goes.

Anyway, you get the idea. Lol.....

OH! I went to college with Chris Klein and Travis Schuldt (Keith on Scrubs).

I've seen Demarcus Ware several times. Always eats where I used to work. I told him to get a sack for me, and that sunday he only got one sack! I know it was for me!!

My favorite football player EVER! Ever since he was a rookie. So it was awesome for me to meet him! He gave me a "pound". KICK ACE!

I managed a gym where The Rock (or Dwayne Johnson as he prefers now) is a member. I know him, his wife, his mom, and his mom-in-law. Really nice bunch.

I met Jon Secada once (I know. Who cares?). He wanted me to join him at a party in his home. He was really drunk.

Passed by Alonso Mourning once. Played video games next to Steven Bauer (again, who cares?).

Used to go out to dinner with Bill Aucoin the old manager for Kiss, & Billy Idol.

& we have some celebrity clients at our law firm (can't divulge names really, but they are all HUGE rappers).

I think there's more, but I can't remember now...not really very excited about celebrities. I'd much rather have met Koko the gorilla...then I'd probably cry...

This one time, Michael Jackson came over to my house to use my bathroom....

When I was 14 I met Muhammad Ali in O'hare airport. I got to shake his hand. I was on a trip with my dad and we were waiting for our flight and I look up and walk in our direction is Muhammad Ali with another huge guy. I asked my dad isn' that Muhammad Ali. To which my dad said it sure is " son go shake his hand". So I went over there and introduced myself and asked if I could shake his hand we exchanged handshakes and he said something that I couldn't make out. I said thank he tipped his head a little and we went our separate ways.

I have met Sting, he came into a bar in his home town (Wallsend UK ) and bought everyone a drink. Also had to lend Marc Bolan (T Rex) some money to buy a drink from a vending machine at Newcastle railway station after paying to see him in concert, 2 weeks later he was number 1 with his first hit.

I cooked dinner for Julie Andrews two summers ago. I filled in for a friend at a catering event and I got to personally cook her food. That was fun.
Faye Dunaway held me when I was a baby....at least thats what my mother said.

Spend as much time as I have in war zones, and you get to glad hand a lot of celebs. My personal highlights are:

1) Briefed Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld at CENTCOM prior to OEF

2) Briefed President Bush prior to OIF

3) Worked for Gen. Tommy Franks for 4 years

4) Sang "Mustang Sally" with Kid Rock in Afghanistan

It didn`t happen to me, but an acquaintance was working at a little hole in the wall dive on Hi Way 2 in Alberta and one night Donnie Osmond came in and ordered a muffin!!!

Donnie found the muffin to be too dry and he left it on the table, but with a nice perfect bite taken out of it.

Crazed Osmondaloonie snagged said muffin, had it shellaced, and built a shrine for it.

Another time he got an order that Billy Idol was in da house... and was being all shades of arrogant and drunken nasty. Uhm, yeah... so he like did *stuff* to Mr Punk Rock`s food.

Probably helps for the character development if I mention that the person in question actually was a die-hard punk, so having a pop star... you know... acting all bad and punk did not help. :)

I live in L.A. and have met and seen too many to list.

I did work on a few of Richard Dryfuess's homes, he is a wierdo and cant drive, almost ran one of my guys on his motorcycle off a canyon road.

I forgot that a little over a year ago I was in Las Vegas staying at the MGM Grand. I went downstairs into the casino at about 3 or 4 in the morning. I walked passed who I am 99% sure was Justin Timberlake dressed like a 1960's pimp with bad taste. He had on a fur coat and a fur Stetson style Hat. He had a girl on each arm and two humongous bodyguards walking about 10 paces behind him.They got on the set of elevators that I just came out of. I was staying one floor below the penthouse. Being from Detroit I wasn't able to refrain from laughing out loud at this guy. I don't get out much.

I work in the television industry, and BET films in my building so I see/meet my fair share of celebs....some cool ones were Mariah Carey (HOT in person) Tommy Lee, Jason Newstead, Eminem, Pdiddy, lil wayne, birdman, beyonce, Justin timberlake and Jay z...

I met Joe Montana(49ers Football) in California a long time ago. It was Malibu Grand prix or something rather. I talked to his kids as well.. They were pretty nice.

I met Carrie Underwood..but this was at her concert. LOL. She was so cute.

I've actually met a lot of celebrities but it was because they were at various conventions and such.

I've met Stacey(fergie now) with her previous bandmates at a concert on accident. I was given tickets to the show from an opening group called PYT and I was supposed to meet them. I was waiting by the door and Wild Orchid came out. First I saw Shannon, than Stacey(fergie) and than Renee. It was really cool. I don't really like calling Stacey Fergie..It's really weird. She's super nice though. I actually talked to them for about a half hour.

If I saw a celeb out shopping or something I probably wouldn't stop them. I'd be too worried about disturbing them.

Most of the celebs I've met were from the Xena show..
Lucy Lawless, Renee O'Connor, Hudson Leick(Callisto), Kevin Smith(Ares.RIP), Ryan Gosling, etc,etc.

I met Dennis Rodman when I lived and worked in TX.

I'm not really the type that gets all crazy when I see a celeb so none of my moments are really memorable. Most recent though was Deebo from the movie Friday or Zeus for you wrestling fans. We shared a flight from D/FW to LAX. Nice guy. I went to school and played football with Kenny Thomas(NBA) not sure if he's still playing. I played football against Brian Young(NFL) I think he still plays for New Orleans. He hits very hard! I met Tony Tolbert(NFL) when he was in his prime. There's a few others but that's what comes to mind.
