I'm looking to get a couple cheap plastic ugly hideboxes for an adult ball python. Where online could I find something like this?

Re: hide boxes
Make them really cheap, do you have a tank or tub?

Re: hide boxes
I got my adult bp upside down washing up bowls for hides then cut a doorway in them and just melted any sharp edges ith a lighter, once cooled they are perfect and cheap.

Those are RBI hides. They work awesome. I have them in all the tubs in my rack. http://www.reptilebasics.com/Hide-Boxes-p-1-c-282.html Smalls fit perfect in a 6qt tub and mediums are great for up to about a 900g snake.

Re: hide boxes
I had the same problem.
I could NOT find a place with good hides for BPs! I got desperate, so I order two WONDERFUL, but hideous, hides from RBI.
They're low to the ground, black, small opening, but they're just so ugly :weirdface
Whatever makes my BP happy :)

Re: hide boxes
thanks a lot everyone! Those were exactly what I was thinking of, I wish they were carried at a store near me though. I'm gonna check out target for some dark colored plastic containers, first-everything I find seems to be clear or too light.

Re: hide boxes
I use paint roller pans which I surgically alter to create a nice opening. $1 a piece
I also have a small cat litter box that I chainsawed in half and he likes those 2 as well. $3 or 4 and you get 2 hides out of it
You don't have to use a chainsaw to cut the stuff in either, but its fun to do!

Re: hide boxes
I use these white plastic containers that my chinese food comes in. I just use a soldering iron to get rid of the sharp edges and make an entrance. Price: Free!

Re: hide boxes
It can be difficult to find something big enough to use as a hide for an adult ball python. An alternative could be to get several 6" clay flowerpots and turn them up side down in the cage. It'll give them something to hide BEHIND instead of inside of.

Re: hide boxes
I use custom hides I make from bowls for smalls, and kitty litter pans upside down for larges.
