Re: Yummy. Frogs.
I have to admit that I have eaten Frog before...

Re: Yummy. Frogs.
I've eaten frogs legs before too. They were tough, stringy and overcooked.

Re: Yummy. Frogs.
When I was growing up, I spent all my summers at our family cabin on a lake in Northern Michigan. There was a lady of French Canadien heritage that would pay me in the form of huckleberry pies (made from wild berries) to go out in a swamp in a canoe with a bb gun and shoot bullfrogs so she could dine on their legs which she regarded as a great delicacy.

Frog legs are so good. Tastes like chicken.

Re: Yummy. Frogs.
Frog legs are a common part of restaurant menus around here and found on just about any buffet. I haven't had much interest in trying them, though.

Re: Yummy. Frogs.
My old house was walking distance from this fish camp restaurant that had frog legs, alligator tail, and even snake! I tasted all 3 and all 3 almost made me throw up. Now, I do eat balut. I love those things. For those who don't know what a balut is, I won't tell ya. :D You have to google it. What can I say... I'm Filipino!

I used to get that down at the County owned Campgrounds that is on the same lake. Families would come and stay there for 1 or 2 weeks at a time all summer, mostly from Ohio. It was a regular smorgasboard.

I was watching the Ultimate Fighter show and one of the guys on the show was eating balut! Not something I'd like to try but it's different that's for sure.

No need to continue to throw those eggs away that don't hatch folks.

I think I just puked in my mouth a little. One of the thai places we eat at regularly has these. I can't ever focus when I see someone cracking the egg and slurping the juice. Just...No.

Yikes, some poor slob in South East Asia eats fertilized eggs with large embryos in them to keep from starving to death, and the next thing you know it's considered Haute cuisine. Human beings are hilariously funny creatures.

I said ewwww, but then my husbans said it was no different from me eating lamb..
on the frog topic, I used to stay with this family somewhere in NJ (when my parents wanted to get rid of me)
They took me froggin a couple times, those bull frogs will scare the bajesus out of you when your a kid, wandering around in the middle of the night, with no light, and they jump and smack you in the leg.
