I like unique and exotic names especially for females, I also like to name them after personal interests. Some of those being, superman, smallville. Knight rider, muscles cars, mustangs. I also like spanish names.
If i get a good spanish suggestion that I dont use for her, I do have leopard geckos both male and female that need names and they have to be spanish.
To eliminate ones used these are names I have now for other animals.
spanish:
Diego
Chaquita
Tequila (since she looks like shes drunk when she runs)
Lolita
Nevada
Amigo
Snakes
Harley
Rev
Desire
Aurora
Tarzan
Exotica
Z
Isis
Matrix
Mystique
Fiero
Xaria
Noel
Lex
Koa
Kamea
Krypto
Cyrus
Zoltan
Ashaki
Cooties
Saphira
Precious

I think it's funny that she lived in Edison NJ for 6 years and moved back to Japan just to be in the pagent. :-D i love Americanized Japan.
Anyway, i love japanese names. Suneku is Japanese for Snake. Suneku-dancu means snake dance. Precious in Japanese comes from English which is Pureshasu. starlight in japanese is Koshiakari.
I also like Russian: ЗМЕЯ sounds like Zleya. (Which sounds alot like Zelda, but she was a cool princess anyway) which means female snake. You could do snake dance, which is Без перевода sounds like Byez pehravoda. Precious in Russian is ЛЮБИМЫЙ which sounds like Loodeemiy. Satrlight in Russian sounds horrible so i won't even bother.
I'd say German, but it always can sound so harsh. If you have a blood or rock python then yeah, but a sweet BP it might be misplaced as a name.
I teach and train martial arts so i name alot of my snakes on either aikido and systema movements or on their personality kwirks. Like, i have a rat named Ninja because she is all black with a white stomach and climb upside down on her cage them jumps down and you can see her stomach in the dark.

Re: Need Name
What, no Monty yet? I thought it was a requirement to name your first python Monty. :D
I was going to name our first ball Medusa but the kids voted me down on it - they picked Curly.
Spanish name - what about Cerveza? :D
Superman - Faora or Zaora
Faora was a martial arts expert from Krypton who hates men. She beat Superman in one of the comics in the 70's. Zaora was General Zod's girlfriend.

Re: Need Name
My oldest daughter (8) is lobbying for Sally Slither when we pick up our females in about a month. Hard to go wrong with a name like that.
My son (6 years old) called his male "Baldy"- because he doesn't have any hair.
Our 4 year old daughter will also be able to pick out a name when we pick the females up- my guess is she will name one after one of the Disney princesses.

This is actually python # 18 or 10 depending how you look at it. 18th one aquired but 10th that is a keeper.
My first python was actually a pair. Male and female named Koa and Kamea.
Koa is Hawaiian for brave, Kamea is Hawaiian for sweet darling.

Re: Need Name
The ancient Egyptian goddess Renenutet often appeared in the form of a hooded cobra.
The ancient Egyptian snake goddess Meretseger.
The goddess Wadjet, associated with the Lower Egyptian sanctuary of Buto.
I love Egyptian god/goddess names:D
I have had rats/mice that are breeders with names like, Sekhemet, Amun~Ra, Bastet, Anuke, Anuket, Anubis.........4 of these have passed(one got sick, the others got old and close to deat and where "put down" by a snake)
