Whats your BP weight and age?

Just a comparisson of small and huge ball pythons!! Slow and fast growers, males and females. And whats your input on what a snakes weight should be around at each age.

a few of my snakes weight:

my smallest- 5 month male - picky eater - 210 grams, only ate once this month

5 month old female- 310 grams, eats 2 mice every week

1.5 year old female 700 grams, got from a friend 2 month ago, seems light to me, but she looks in good shape

Well... Stan is about 20 months old and weighs about 475grams.

I have a male het albino born in July of 08 thats just shy of 500 grams...496 to be exact .This thing is on Steroids....growing like a weed......

Bender is about 8 months and weighs a little over 300g

i dont know caspers age but he weighs around 2700 grams

My two at 5 months weigh 207 and 268.
I've got a 20 month old that weighs 727 grams and I've got a 17 month old one that weighs 1698 grams. Its amazing how much they can vary.

'08 Normal Male - Sept Hatchling - 161 grams
'08 Pastel Male - June Hatchling - 208 grams

From 125 to 2600 grams.

Smallest: Weird male that popped out of a clutch unexpectedly - 196 July '08
Largest: Female - 3200g '04

He's 1705g and about 6 1/2 yrs. old.

Lavoux is 1yr 2 months, and at 750g (girl, eats 2-3 mice wk)

7 mo old 300gr
1.5 y/o 875gr
4 y/o 600gr

6 month old female at 565g
7 month old male at 303g

from 219 to 1685

1.0.0 het pied - 14 months - 820grams
0.1.0 het cinny - 2 yrs - 500grams....rescue...pretty small.
0.1.0 spider - 10 months - 500 grams
0.1.0 normal - 3 yrs - 800grams - rescue.
0.0.1 savanna monitor - 7 months - 10" 45 grams lol. just for fun. bites everything and anything.

Aw.... Stan's gonna get little man syndrome! He's so much littler than other bps his age!

Two years ago I hatched out a female pastel, which I later traded. At one year old, she weighed just under 200 grams. She never missed a meal, mice or rats. Fed Every 5-10 days.

Another female pastel I hatched a month later was 600 grams by the time she was a year old on the same feeding schedule.

They all grow at their own paces. Right now I have an 8 month old female that has not refused a meal that is just 80 grams.

My largest at the moment is just about 2200 grams. But she's a midget at only around 3'. I have a 5'+ female that is just over 2000 grams, but she bred this past season while the other did not.

I use to think similar things. When I was first told that a female ball pythons has to be 3 years old and 1,500 grams, I thought they had to grow at 500+ grams a year or they would be unhealthy/underfed.

This is exactly why I posted this thread, I keep seeing everyone with 1000+ gram snakes, Im over here scratching my head wondering why mine are just lil guys:confused:

Also my males are tiny, like they dont want to grow up, and are picky eaters, my females can eat eat eat, but my oldest which is around 2 years or more from what the previous owner told me, is not even 700 grams, IM GONNA HAVE TO GO SIT DOWN AND HAVE A TALK WITH MY SNAKES,TIME TO GROW GUYS!!

You just sit tem down and say unless they run away with peter pan (or Mr. Jackson) they have to get off their butts and grow up! This is not never, never land/ranch.

well I add my info
het male 1 1/2 years old 800 grams
het female 1/1/2 year old 1000 grams *( give or take the scale starte t o bounce around cuse she don't like sitting still)
normal female ( 2 years or possible 3 ) 1500+ grams ( this snake being baby sat and had a date with my ablino once he older
het male 250 (about 6 months)
het female 200 ( about 6 months)
normal female (6 months) 234grams
ablino male 6 months ( about 370 grams) nedd to take a health load release lol then will be about 300 I guessing )

black rat female 900 grams ( she at lease 15 years old )
butter corn male (at least 12 years old about) 850 grams

2 18 month olf corns less than 100 grams
1 2 year corn about 200 grams

1 unknown age bp about 1200 grams and eating like ther eno tomorrow this rescue comes as a so called male but i do belive it a female and doing great in my care ( not weight since she came in but i bettign aobut 80 grams heavier sicne the 24 of dec

What sized prey and how often do you feed? Males tend to be smaller - mine range from 600 to 1200gms. The 600gm one is 2 years old and a mouse eater. But he is breeding like crazy this year. The 1200gm one is a normal and a garbage pail. He will eat anything.

I have 2 08 girls that are 500-600gm and a 1400gm 07 girl. I feed them every 5-7 days. They like to eat....:D

2 possibilities that i know of...in canada here we have what's called a a black rat snake...but its not common to keep these...i believe he's speaking of the black king snake, a completely black and beautiful snake...i prey for the day someone produces a pure black BP.
