Father ASF too much of a Good Daddy??
I have a 1.3, which just gave birth to about 10 pups( i havent checked the exact amount), Gave birth yesterday, its been 48 hours and I always see the Dad on top of the babies, Will the babies get there milk from the mothers if the Dad is always on top of them???? the 2 females are constantly roaming the tub, but not once has the father moved

Many intelligent rodent males will care for their pups. It happens. If the mother has an issue she will push the father off and feed the babies, or the babies will realize there is nothing to suckle they will wander away from the bab.

100% positive the Dads the dad hes all brown, two black n white females, I noticed this morning the famles layin beside them, some of the babies getting to the mom for milk, but the Dad is still in control lol, he dont want to give up his postion, its kind of funny, well all pinkies look active and alive so I guess they are getting milk around the father

My ASF father gets on top of his babies as well, he spreads out just the same as the females do on top of the babies. Everything i have read says this is totally normal with these guys

So, with ASFs you keep the breeding group together all the time?

    Thanks,

Black as in no yellow banding on the hair strand? Because if there is yellow striping, at all, it's an agouti.

A black asf, where the whole hair strand is one color, would be incredible and would open up a whole new palette of colors.

I realize what I call dark grey, the "wild" natural color, others call black.
