Fire, Normal, and Tiger... not so DUW (just 3)
A few pics of a few of the crew...
Ash (Fire) who shed tonight. I love when a snake breeds on Thursday, rests on Friday, eats on Saturday, and sheds on Sunday. Economic with his time... I like that in a snake.

This is Prescott (Tiger - Oscar line) that I am not sure I have shown off yet? He is just so hard to get good pics of. He is just a nice rich caramel color. I love the marking on his head as well. I kinda hope that is genetic.

Lastly a pic I got of Antoinette tonight while I was changing out the feeding papers.
Hmmmm... whatcha got in there girl?

I had a few pics of Janice (Spider Pig) and the little Allegra (Enchi female) that I was not so crazy about... so another time.
Thanks for looking,
Bruce

What makes a tiger a tiger? To me it doesnt look much different than a banded or reduced pattern normal. Is it a het for something, is there a super form?

Ash is looking a-freakin-mazing! He makes me want to get a fire, really badly!
And Prescott is pretty sweet looking too. I like the markings on his head as well.

A tiger can be a combo morph or a stand alone morph. This guy is a stand alone, and they are hypos (reduced). So the banding, reduced pattern, and coloration is genetic.
When Prescott was hatched he looked like a pastel he was such a bright yellow, then he matured into this rich warm brown.

She was paired with Yvon (het blue hypo). I have stopped pairing them at this point. He is getting all nutty and bucking her off... I know... usually it is the other way around. I was just glad that Monsieur Bleu finally got his game on (been waiting two years).
I palpated 8 follicles... so we'll see how close I am.
Rashid has been burning up the paper too... he has been sharing dates with Zoltan and Ash. I like to play the odds... :snake:
Boy has stamina... he locks for 3 days at a time!Linda has 6 or 7 good sized follicles as well, and she has locked with all 3.
Bruce
PS: Look deep into Ash's eyes...
YOU NEED A FIRE!!! Oh, and you're getting sleepy too...

Ah, I knew it had to be either Yvon or Rashid your paired with her.
Hey Zeus! 3 Days!?! That boy is an olympian!
LOL, True and TRUER! I need a fire (2 of them preferably) and I am getting sleepy. Wo, sleep sounds good. What is the world coming to? Bruce is becoming an Enabler and Deb is the Bp.net tyrant.
PS: Fingers crossed on lots of healthy girl heavy clutches! :)

This will be the first year where she is bred back to one of her sons (I believe) so I will hear in the spring if there is a Super. The genetics are not completely ironed out, but there is definitely something genetic to them.
Half the offspring have been reduced and banded.

So is it a recessive? I have a genetic banded that is either dom or co-dom (unproven beyond 1st generation offspring.) What is the actual difference between Tiger and banded? According to Nerds web site they are listed as different names for the same general morph all under Genetic Banded. It doesn't say anything about Hypos and such. :weirdface
Just a little confused about where the hypo figures in!

This guy is not recessive, but there are recessive bandeds/tigers. The Banana (European line is a good example). As well there are codoms, the Diesel Tiger is a great example (one of my favorites). I believe, without looking it up, that NERDs Tiger is a combo morph. Woma x something?
Hypo means reduced. People associate hypos with orange hypos, but the full reference in that case is hypomelanistic (reduced melanin - hence the faded heads and coloration)... same way that really dark snakes are hypermelanistic, but are often referred to as hypers.
So a reduced patterned snake, or a faded/light snake are also hypos.

Last week I told Robin “I don’t care much about fires probably won’t get one” and now I am thinking if I come across one like YOURS I might just change my mind."
Can’t wait to see Ash babies.

Thanks Deb... just think of what a nice reduced pattern Fire could do to the Orange Hypo girl. :)
I have my fingers crossed. I hope Ash gives me some nice babes this season.

BPs are cute, but baby BPs... they take the cake. I still pull my babes out from last season on occasion and just kinda melt.
Yes... a big suck for a baby faced snake I am.
