White background, no flash...
Bright lights overall, maybe outside??

Exactly what I was thinking. Putting them on a white, and bright surface and the orange should show.

I don't use flash. Can't go outside in Chicago at the moment :P. Picture is taken in my room. Between windows so no sunlight is hitting it. Kind of in shade.

Last one is the best, but you need more light. Try all lights on in the room, focused in on the area that you are photographing..
Re: How to get orange to show?
Wish I could. But my room is barely a room. It's actually what use to be a garage that was connected to the house until the previous owners decided they'd rather make it into a family room or something. All I have is a ceiling fan with 4 (different) lights that all point in one direction.
I'll see what I can do though...

I had the same problems with the yellow of my Hognoses ;)
I use a big lamp whith 3x 40W fluorescent lamps and change the camera-setup (white balance) that the best colorresult is to see.

Much better...
It'll be better with more light, but those pics are MILES better than what you had before.
