Pastel Fire, Pastel Vanilla, or Pastel Ghost
Hi... This is my first post here. I hope someone can help me answering my question.

I like bright clean yellow color. Which one should I choose to cross breed Pastel with? Fire, Vanilla, or Ghost?

I have seen photo of adult Pastel Fire, Pastel Ghost, and Pastel Vanilla. They all look similar to me, but I haven't seen them in person so I don't know which one is the best looking.

Also, what about Super Pastel Fire, Super Pastel Ghost, Super Pastel Vanilla, or Super Pastel Super Vanilla (don't know if there are any?)? Which one will look best when it grown up?

I learn that Pastel Vanilla is the more expensive than Pastel Fire and Pastel Ghost is the cheapest of the three. This mean Pastel Vanilla is the prettiest one?

Is there other morph that when cross with Pastel, babies will have bright clean yellow colour when they grow up?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

I'm with Kevin(:8:) I say Fire too pastel Vanilla's are ok but Fires make fire flies and to boot you can get 2 and have a chance at Black Eyed Lucies.

Personally Pastel X Fire as well.
Pastel X Hypos are codom/simple recessive so it would take you much longer to make one.
Get a fire, then in a year or 2 if you hit the odds you will be close to possibly producing a super pastel fire.
That is if you are using a pastel female.

POGs are muted, but are very clean.

Def the pastel fire if you want a nice bright yellow snake. The fire cleans up the pastel.

Actually, the Vanilla Pastel is probably the CHEAPEST out of the three combo's you have mentioned. I personally have a Sulfur (Het Black Eyed Lucy,,,,,think Fire) Pastel and he is stunning, still lemon yellow at almost three years of age. I also have a baby Vanilla Pastel, and she is stunning. If you have a Pastel, and buy a Ghost, all you get is Pastel Het Ghosts, no visual Pastel Ghosts. Get yourself a Fire or Sulfur and you will not be sorry.

Personally I'm partial to the POG's and SPOG's but the brightness can be variable depending on the quality of the ghosts you start off with in the mix. If you start with the brightest yellow ghosts you'll end up with the brightest yellow POG's

I also had a hard time deciding between a fire or vanilla, but after talking to Chris from Gulf Coast Reptiles I went with the vanilla. He sent me many pictures of the crosses that he made with the vanilla. The one thing that he said about the fire and fire crosses is that the end result is a white snake, but with the vanilla you have the super form to add to your crosses. If you want to see a wicked cross you need to see his super vanilla pastels, they just glow.

I would love to see a picture of a Super vanilla pastel. Tom with Cypress Creek reptiles has some vanilla's and was thinking about buying one.

There was a thread not too long ago on KS, where someone bought a legit Vanilla from a well known breeder. This fellow then bred his Vanilla to I am guessing a normal, and when the eggs hatched, he could not pick out the Vanillas from the normals. So, as the thread goes, he emailed the breeder of his male, and the breeder could not pick out the Vanillas from the guys pics. So, if two people could not tell a Vanilla from a normal.......

Also, could it be possible that there were no vanilla's in that clutch? He could have just had bad odds that year. *shrug* just a thought
