A complete and detailed description of the snake's environment is called for since this snake is a baby, has lost weight, and is otherwise healthy :)

he looks like a good size and it sounds like your doing everything right.

Try putting crumpled newspaper in its tub and leaving it completely alone for 1 week then offer a small live mouse late LATE LATE! at night and see how that goes

You know, that pin is just going to be a problem for you from here on out, so I think you should just mail him to me and let me take care of him... :P

My first thought was that he may be in shed. My young BP stopped eating during shed. Might not be normal, but can happen. From the looks of the pic, seems like that may have been what was going on.

Also, watch out for mites. I had no mites at first, but once the eggs hatched, I had a little outbreak. That can also make him uncomfortable and less likely to feed.

Also, try pre-scenting. I thaw my mouse, place on the screen top with heat lamp on it, and if the snake doesn't come out of his hide and start acting hungry, I don't try to feed him. Can take a matter of seconds or several minutes.
