It's truly a beautiful animal. I got no other words for it.

I would get a GTP if it wasn't for their daily misting needs. Why can't they just drink out of them dang water bowls?!?

Mine drink from their bowls quite often. I only spray my adults in the winter. During the summer, I spray about once every 7-10 days.....sometimes less. Babies only need it if the cage doesn't hold humidity well. What you don't see at night goes unnoticed. lol. They do their work in the dark when we are not watching.

Agreed, i work evenings and get home around midnight sometimes, ive witnessed each one of my chondro's drink from the water bowl. I too mist maybe once a week. Every morning i just tip the water bowl's a bit to boost humidity a bit.

Should the water bowl be elevated?

It's not needed. They will come down to drink. I have used elevated water in the past, but they would still cruise around and find the large bowl on the floor.....and this was in a 4' tall cage. If you can keep a jungle, you can keep a chondro. I got rid of all my jungles to get more chondros. ;)

Yeah they sound a lot more attractive to me now... just they're expensive and not great for handling as they are very fragile, or am I wrong again? :P
