So im new here and am getting a BP

Ive done a ton of research and my friend is a snake keeper as well, which has led me to wanting a good hobby- snakes. I have selected a ball for a starter snake because I haven't owned one before. He is helping me alot with everything. Any tips or tricks I should know? Thanks.

read the caresheets carefully and the search function can be your best friend:)

I'm going to be the pain in the group.

1. Do you have your setup already prepped?

2. Do you know what temps you need?

3. Humidity?

4. Glass or plastic tub?

5. Live or frozen/thawed?

Read read read! also, get your cage and set it up first so the temps and humidity will be perfect BEFORE you bring your new BP home. It will create much less stress for your new BP in the long run

So, what kind of ball are you thinking of picking up?

Im buying a sweet rack setup and 2 normals (m and f) the end of the week. Im pumped. More to come eventually.... I would love an albino, or a blue eyed lucy but an albino is a little more realistic right now.

Buy yourself a pair of het for albino and raise them in your rack and eventually breed your own abino.

thats an option and will probably happen but it would be nice not having to wait.

get an albino and a het albino!:D

also, make sure your balls are clean, thats important.

I have printed out a caresheet and highlighted just like back in school. I have read books and done a ton of research. I think im ready for anything!

dont worry about that my friend I have the cleanest balls ever. but seriously they have had a very good life with the previous keeper and will stay that way. :D
