Cinny?
Happy new year guys! Ok, so this is not another "is my normal a morph" thread. Just wanna get your input regarding this cinny that is for sale here in our country. Coz i do really wanna add a cinny to my collection, but too bad, this is the one and only cinny for sale here. Just wonderin if this is indeed a cinny, but not the best example out there, or not?

Re: Cinny?
Mmmmm, it's kind of hard to tell from that picture. It looks like it could be a cinny but it's definitely not a great example of one. I'd ask to see the parents and to confirm that one of them is a cinnamon. Also check the NWE post on how to determine whether a snake is a cinnamon or not

My vote would be no just based on the picture, the colors don't seem quite right and I don't see much, if any, of the flames and blushing that would normally be on a cinnamon. Another thing to look for is on most cinnamons the "alien heads" in the pattern will seem to be floating in a way, not really connected to the belly pattern.

Re: Cinny?
IMHO, many cinnys now a days don't even look much like the origional cinnys. To me the most important feature when grading a cinny is the truely faded, light brown head that POPS out from the rest of the snake. And the head stripe should be very faded. That said the one you pictured looks like a cinny, just not a great one.
Here is a pic of my 06 cinny. Look at the things I just mentioned.

Re: Cinny?
That's an awesome looking cinny there Mike! I love that faded head pattern! Different lines do have slightly different looks however. I think the browned out head is more likely to show up in graziani line cinnies but I could be wrong. I'll be bringing home my first cinny pretty soon :D Can't wait!
Edit: Sorry to the OP, again it's really hard to tell from that picture but it really just looks like a dark normal to me. I'd try waiting til the spring when there's usually more available babies (not sure if breeding season is the same in your country) It doesn't seem to have that faded head pattern Mike pointed out at all and I would still expect to see the "floating alien heads" a bit.

Re: Cinny?
it looks like a cinny to me the pic is not real great though.
look at the floating pattern in spots and it does have flames.
i dont have a black pastel(i only got black pewters) to compare it to but mike yours looks alot like a black pastel to me.
even then between the 2 some look the same from both

Re: Cinny?
It's very hard to tell (at least for me). My initial reaction is no - it's not, but it also could just be a very poor example of a cinny. It would be interesting to see what those who have worked with them a lot think.

Re: Cinny?
Here's a pic of our '08 CH Cinnamon. Maybe that will give you something to compare to the one you're looking at.

Re: Cinny?
My opinion,(and it's only opinion) is that it is a cinnamon. But it's not a great example and the pic is not very descriptive either, not showing off a cinnamon's traits to very good effect. Still looks like one to me.

Re: Cinny?
I think the snake being asked about is a normal...or not a Cinny.
Louis, that is a cool snake, save me a nice female from it!

I agree, I would like to see the belly, that would be real helpful.
