How old is the oldest ball in your collection?

Just wondering, because it seems as though everyone has young snakes, or at least those are the ones they like to show off. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a pic of a snake that was around the 20 mark where their lives tend to come to end (or so I've heard).

So how old is the oldest snake in your collection? And maybe on a side note, tell us how long they've been in YOUR possession.

My big girl will be 4 in October.

An 08 that I got in July...So I guess you could call me a Python n00b.

I guess I could answer my own question...oldest is a year and a half, and I've had him for about 4 months now (was my first ball)

My oldest is a big female that's 10.

My het. albino male is approx. 4.5 to 5 years old and my normal female is four.

I have a 2300g female thats near 5 ft long that i got back in march, so im guessing she's at least 4/5 years old, but its hard to say since i dont know her feeding history. my first BP is an 06 and ive had her for 2 years

I have a normal female that I received as a baby in October of 2002. She was probably 4 months old or so. (6, almost 7 years old)

Mine is a little girl. I got her in las february and she had to be at least a month old. so that makes her 1 year now

I got a big male from 18 years old and a big female 15 years old:cool:

mine is a female I bought as an adult last year who was about 5 so shes about 6 now.

I've got a 2003 female but I've only had her for about 9 months now.

only have one... George, just turned 1 on Dec 14th, 2008

I have 7-8 year old female... favorite snake in my collection.

Ms. Olive. She is the one I bring out whenever a kid wants to hold a snake. She is an absolute kitten (minus the claws and surly disposition).

I have a huge normale female who is atleast 11 years old

I still have my first snake, a ball python I bought as a baby about 12 years ago. He's still my favorite! He made it through all my stupid beginner mistakes back when I didn't have internet access years ago... :)

My oldest snakes are two large females that hatched in the summer of 2002.

well i ghavd/had a couple growing up I had one female that was a rescue I kept her for 5 years before she died ( this was before I had a stable internet and any info Outside the little books you can but at the pet shop back inthe mid 90's she was about 5 lbs then and almost 6 ft long she never breed Was my first rescue ball python I wish I had pics she was so much fun I am guessingshe was at least 12 yeatrs old the person that own her husband had died and she was not a snake person ( she said they were married 4 years and he had it befor they met 2 years befor that )
but I doe have a corn and a black rat that are both in the mid to late teens lol ( black rat was the firt snake ever for me , and been the blame- joy of me getting into reptiles. )

We have a seven and a half year old which DH has had since the snake was a tiny baby. We also have a five year old we just bought. In addition, we own a massive female whose age is unknown, but we suspect she's quite old.

My oldest, and first Ball Python is turning 10 this summer.

I have one BP and he's 19 years old. I got him when I was in 6th grade. Bought him from the manager of a local pet store, who was also the breeder. He's right around 48" and doing well. I've learned a lot from him.

My oldest male I bought in 93 he was my first. He was close to 1000g then. So Id say he was close to two years old when I got him . So that should put him around 18 years old or so. Hes been as big as 3500g, But Ive noticed his eating has slowed down alot. He hovers around 2500g now. He only eats about ever two months all year long. He use to eat every week, he still gets offered food every week just doesn't take. Temps are good humidity is good. Here is a picture of him.

The oldest one we KNOW his birthdate turns eight years next month, and was purchased as a new baby.

The oldest if I would take a guess is either him or our huge female of unknown age- she could be 20 for all I know.

Ki will be 3 on 12/6 which is also my birthday!

We have a normal female. We got her in June of 2001. She is (as of 6/2/09) 2217 grams. She will be a great breeder for my semi new pastel male.

we bought a big old girl last year at a show.. she has a massive head. they didnt know the age but they got her as an adult and bred her for two years. I imagine shes likely to be about 8 or 9 years old.

I got a 8 year old female! And she's the best has not refused a meal in almost 4 years! Me and her are tight! Lol I know when she's going in shed because her head will slightly go under her unprinted paper! She sooooo smart!

Well I just found the book I recorded things in when I bought Cleopatra and 15 years ago yesterday she was 82g and had been with me three days. :D

And it's 15 years to the day since she took her first meal with me - 2 F/T fuzzy mice. :wuv:

Since I got the other 2 girls a couple of years later but as adults/ sub adults I would have to say she is my oldest. :)

I have a big ol girl that was hatched in 1998.

I just picked up a 10 year old snake as a rescue. He's a bit snappy, but once he's out of his cage he changes completely. Eats like a pig.

Hermione, is 11 years old. I adopted her when she was 2 1/2, and have had her ever since. She's also my biggest, 3000g. I love her and could never part with her..she's such a sweetie! :love:

Mine was around 3 months when I got it a couple weeks ago I believe, don't even know if it's a male or female yet. I'm finding out tomorrow though!

Sharon is 6 and 2400 grams. :P

He was hatched on the 4th of July.

Only one. A male 1 1/2 years old weighing about 850 grams.
