Amazon's new digs.

I bumped my Amazon up to a bigger Exoterra today. Thought I'd snap a couple of quick pics.

Nice! I tried the exo terra for my amazon and didnt like it, he's in a 20 qt tub now, most likely ill pick up a barrs cage for him. Anyway your amazon looks great!:gj:thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Judd. I had him in a small/tall exo then moved him to a tub. I didn't really like the tub setup so I put him in the larger 18x18x18 and I think it's a good size for him. I like to be able to see him and could not do that in a tub, plus he's in my living room so the exo looks better. You should post a pick of your Amazon in the thread;)...hint hint.....

LOL, I don't think i'll be trying it anytime soon;) He's never really tried to bite me so maybe i'll give it a go one of these days:)

I can take pics of my chondro's and they come out nicely! But my camera has a hard time focusing on my amazon's head for some reason, but this one came out pretty good!

Nice pics, and nice setup! Is it a wood log you are using in your enclusure? What kind of material is it made from?

Thanks! It's like a reson material. No real wood involved there. He used it more than he used his perches in his last setup. They like to have something more than just a perch under them I think.

No, sadly I don't possess that kind of skill. It came from Petsmart I think, I bought it a couple of years ago. It has a hollow hide area at the base so it works great.

do you have anything covering the screen top to hold the humidity?

he looks "friendly"!! nice looking setup and great looking snake!

I do have some foil cutouts that I have used in the past. I have a good sized water bowl and give daily mistings. He has never had a bad shed with this type of setup.
