Xbox 360 live question

Don't know squat about the games. My sons have XBox 360 with the live membership. They are getting tired of the games they have and am looking for the best game that they can play live forever without getting tired of it.

Is it Call of Duty 4? or something else? shooter / war games are what they are into, but they are getting pretty burnt out on the three Halos.

yeah. I'm addicted to COD4 and the newest one - World At War - but it is rated M for mature for a reason - so be cautious about that.

On top of that - children that have yet to hit puberty screaming and cursing into the mic (as well as singing) is one of the biggest annoyances of the game...so for my sake, don't buy it :D

Gears is fantastic, and I also really like Fable 2 (but not for live) and have heard great things about COD4.

They're fun games, you should play them with them. ;]

Gow2 is pretty fun. But when skate 2 comes out!!! OOOOOO Im so excited. I have it pre-ordered already. I can't wait. I will have no life when that game comes out on January 21, 2009!!!

Gears of War 2 is the game to play, thats what i play pretty much every night haha

id say call of duty 4 and world at war
world at war is pretty graphic and it does have some language in it

im 13 go with call of duty 4 and world at war

I played violent, gore filled, shoot em up, kill em nasty games since I was 9.

Was it best for me?

Probably not

Did it make me a deranged violent person?

I would say no. I am a bit deranged but not much more.

I would say that those games are fine, just watch them play them, playing with them is even better. And if they say things or do things that bother you talk to them about it.

You might not be the coolest parent on the block, but you will be one of the more involved ones.

More of an RPG than a shooter, but one of the best game ever made IMo...Fallout 3

(Fallout 3 is not online btw) Another good RPG option is Fable 2.

Be sure to read reviews and follow the ESRB guidelines if you are worried about what types of games they are playing.

Call of Duty 4
I know they're not shooters, but Guitar Hero III and GH: World Tour are awesome games that are extremely addicting.

Call of Duty 4 is miles better than World At War. Trust me. ;)

i like world at war better than cod 4
alot of ppl dont like it as much because its ww2 based so it has old type weapons

man i love em im a sniper so all the semi autos and bolt actions makes me like that game more

It depends on your kids, but the largest online games are . Call of duty world at war, of COD4, Hal0 3, Gears 2. Im sure there are more but those are the big ones that i know a large number of poeple play online. Personally Call of Duty world at war ROCKS!!!!! :salute:

Personally I think prestige is there mostly to stop you from getting bored with the game. The symbol's just an add-on. I know I probably would've quit CoD4 long ago if I didn't prestige.

Well, my game design BF just got through a second run of Fable 2, which is a great game!
He is currently playing something called 'Too Human', which is an interesting shoot-em-up game. :)

Also good is 'Dead Space', but it's also very freaky! Do not play late at night...especially on Halloween night. :P

He gave GoW 1 a try but did NOT like it, nor did he like CoD4 at all. Go figure...he's more of an RPG man. :)

I have a small collection but I just got Skate 2, too sweet! I used to play ALOT of Halo 3, CoD 4 & World at War. If I want a fun game that keeps me occupied for HOURS...Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise. I actually got my fiancee the strategy guide for it because she loves that game but she keeps her head stuck in her DS playing brain games. I do play some racing games, too.

Gears of War 2 is good from what I hear. COD4 is one of my favorites even though I have COD World at war.

Had the netflix app, then moved to my fiancee's mom's house so now I can't get enough signal off my Verizon modem to play on live so I couldn't imagine trying to use netflix. I call it the caveman house because she doesn't have internet at all and to get to it you have to drive to BFE, go 2 miles and take a left, go a half a mile and take a right...

If the play any of the Call of Duties online they should not get burned out for some time.

it really depends on what your sons are into personally i like COD but after playing for a long time i got sick of it so i wanted to move to a different game, ncaa or madden are always a good choice if they are into sports and they can play them online against other people too. But whatever they are into really makes half the decision by it self.
