Santa has WHAT in his bag?!?!

So I went to go pick up my Christmas gift from "Santa" today, a female RTB het for anery. I'm thinking that she's a Columbian only because she was only labeled as a Red Tailed Boa. But she's an absolute sweetheart. The guy said she was about 7 months old. Well, here she is, miss Remi!

thanks! thats what really caught my eye when i picked her out too! that plus the fact that there as no hissing or attempts to bite at all when i was handling her

yeah my bci goes through light and dark phases. When shes in her light phase she looks like a salmon pretty awesome actually.

I have a quick question on that, are the light and dark phases your referring to similar to the shed phases of BP's like when they're in blue, etc etc.?

The light and dark phases on mine can be from temperature changes, and just seems to be from growth as well. It's different from the blue stage of shedding (which boas also go through.) You'll see with yours~ sometimes you'll take him out and he'll be dark and sometimes he'll be much lighter :)

hmm, thats really interesting! So, kinda stretching out on a limb here, but they can kinda control the amount of melanin the produce, similar to what chameleons can do, but on a much lower/primitive scale?
