Lombardi the 5mo old Male Veiled... Update.

Well I posted some pics of this guy when I first got him a couple months back... And I figured it would be fun to post an update here for you guys... He is turning into one of the most amazing Veields I have ever worked with. I have never seen a 5 mo old Veiled showing the size and color this guy does. I recieved him at 2.5 months at 12 grams... He is growing like crazy... and now at around 5 and half months, he has just broke 100 grams. Both of his parents were HUGE veileds both Well over 200 grams!!! He is following suit for sure. I have followed several of his clutch mates... And I am convinced that I got the pick of the litter! I couldn't be happier.

What do you feed them?

When he was small I was feeding him small Silk Worms, and hornworms, and the occasional dubia nymph. Now that he is getting bigger he gets 1-2 full sized Dubia a day, Silkworms and gutloaded supers inbetween as a treat, with the occasional hornworm. He hasn't had a single cricket since he has been in my possesion. I think the main factor in this guys growth was natural sunlight. I had him positioned next to an open window where he would get about 4-5 hours of direct natural sunlight a day. All of my chams get outside for natural sunlight whenever I have the time, it works wonders.

Thanks Everyone! He is a Show Stopper! A lot of fun to have around. I will have to do that pic in the HOTM contest. Last time you guys recommended me to do that with a pic of one of my chams it won, I'll have to give it a shot!

Other News...A little after his first birthday I will be waiting for his babies to hatch... I mated him to female who is double his age and sexually mature... and he gotter done like a champ! He had started approaching her weight, and he was acting very restless, so when he caught a glimpse of her he made it very obvious that he was interested.

Here she is... There babies will be KILLER! We called her Margarita, until we fell in love with the show "True Blood" and Julia wanted to name one of the chams Sookie... So she got the name.
