Excellent book, about the dirt of this hobby. Bryan Christy did an amazing job on this. I recommend this book to everyone!

I enjoyed the book as well. Read it all in one sitting. Definitely gives a perspective of how the reptile hobby has evolved.

I was reading an article about that book in Reptiles magazine. I have been wanting to read it. Now I am even more interested.

Sweet man thanks for the review! I didn't even know about this book...I don't get much time to venture beyond my school readings, and when I do, it's often reading posts here. THanks again! :salute:

I read it just before going to Daytona. What a great book - I really enjoyed it! Christy was in Daytona signing books - it was cool to meet him.

In your opinion, how does this book tell it's story? I would like to read it, but am afraid it won't keep my interest if it is too dry. It seems to be written extremely well, but would it be difficult to a picky reader?

I think it kept my interest quite well. Especially if you really want to know how this hobby was started, and the dirt that got it to where it is now. Its only 20 bux so I think if you read it, and didnt like it, you really didnt waste THAT much money.

I remember seeing this thread awhile back, I just got done reading the book for a second time. It's an awesome book, the end of the book is rather kind of sad also.
