Help my bp escaped from her tub
I'm freaking out. My 9 month old BP escaped from her locked, bungee tied tub. I'm tearing my house apart. I've looked in every dark warm place I can think of. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
can you describe the room that the tub is in? When was the last time you seen it?
I've unfortunately had this happen twice to me. They plan their escape at night when security is sleeping but will hide during the day. So if your BP went missing last night, it probably found a warm place to lay low and is probably on the move again. I'd start looking again and begin from the tub again. Best of luck.
BTW the first time I lost one, she was found in some moving blankets I had under the stairs and the second time my little guy was behind a box on the cold concrete floor.
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
I took her out just last night!! I went to feed the snakes today and she was gone! She was in a 30ish Quart Iris tub, locked on both sides with a bungee wrapped on the top. Everything was still closed!! I have no clue how it is even possible. . . .
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
today has been escape of the pythons day
someone else had lost their snake today
:snake:
but i do hope you find it, i would hate for mines to escape =\
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
Check where the handles are on the sides of those tubs, if I'm not mistaken there's a small gap underneath. I have a similar tub that I use as a feeding bin and one time my 200g girl poked her head out and could have easily escaped had I not been there. If your BP is fairly large it could possibly have done it with sheer force, it surprising how much strength they have when motivated.
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
man thats terrible i hate losing anything good luck i hope you find your ball,
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
If you have any frozen rats on hand, thaw one out and rub it along the base boards in the room your BP escaped from. After that, leave the mouse overnight in a tub with an extra hide in it. Turn out the lights and check the tub on a regular basis. If it doesn't work the first night, keep trying. You also might want to warm up the house a little if you can, just to be safe.
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
believe it or not... check near the fridge... those things put out a lot of heat on the bottom and back... Also might want to check near computers and tvs... basically anything that emits heat

I had had the 2 snakes escape from me and the best thing I found was using Scotch tape, sticky side up and putting it along all doorways and areas where u think they may have gone.

Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
I had a friend call me for this same reason I found his snake in a desk drawer, a month later my snake went missing I found her i a cabinet drawer as well so from now on the first places I look is all my drawers
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
any luck yet? I lost my snake the sameday you lost yours luckily I found mine about 5-6hours after he went missing. I found him in my sons rooms between the mattress and wall. Dont give up hope, although I know its hard and depressing:)
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
Good Luck, I hope you find it. They would be places you would never think to look. You can put flour (yes that you cook with) in all your rooms on the floors. Next morning look and see if you see any trails....should lead you right to it. It worked for me in the past.
Luckily, I now have a snake room so if they get out...they don't have anywhere to hide.
Re: Help my bp escaped from her tub
Check EVERYWHERE
I found mine on top of my desk 4 feet off the ground after searching every tight dark space in my house
If she doesn't turn up in a bit, leave flour on the floor so she can leave a trail for you
Put a rat in a small container in the center of the room and see if she gets to it
Spend as little time in the room she escaped in and keep things as quiet as possible
She's more likely to come out when she feels safe
Crumple up noisy bags or anything that would make noise and leave it lying around the room, if she stumbles upon it, you'll hear it
Good luck!
