First lock!

Hey there everyone! This season is my first time breeding :D The pair is Chester and Lelu; Hypo and het Hypo. I have seen all the other signs of breeding, but have yet to see a lock......until today!! After a good break for some food, I put them back together and they wasted no time!

I'm so happy I caught them while locked! I've been feeling her developing for the past week now. Soooooo happy! They're both such beautiful snakes - I can NOT wait to see the outcome! I'm so excited!!! And I must say - that a boy, Chester!! :banana:

Well, I've felt her developing. It's hard to do though, because she is everything but cooperative about that lately, haha. The couple times, I got between 6-8. So dear god, I hope so! Who knows though. I think it's too early too tell. She is starting to lay on her side now.

Haven't seen them in a full on lock lately. I've seen them very close, but they are both shy. They definitely court.

They both still are pounding their food.

I may be able to get my hands on one of those sliding glass topped freezer displays from a Jewel for use as an Incubator. That would be awesome. :gj:

sounds like things are progressing about perfect. Congrats and fingers crossed for you. Seeing that first lock is a pretty heady experience.

1st painful waiting period is over. Now comes the second.
I've had 2 definate locked pair so far and two other pairs breeding.

Lock one is Genetic Dark Morph Co-dom Banded with a normal
Lock two is Pastel Het Albino with a normal

The other two breeding pairs currently are:
Cinny to normal
Double Het VPI Snow to Het VPI Axanthic

We also have an 06 female Blond Pastel that should make weight as she is at 1300 grams empty right now and hopefully our female Albino makes weight. If they make weight this year they will be late breeders.
