Best solvent/cleaner for uric acid snake pee???

what's the best product for cleaning uric acid/snake pee from plastic cages, particular vision cages?

Wipe Out by Zoo Med seems to do the job for me

Let's be serious, there's gotta be something that works well on dried snake pee

a good old old fashioned hot soak w/ a lil bleach works wonders for my sterilite tubs, cleans right up!

Actually~ hammer and chisel is pretty close to what I do! I have a little file~ I think it's a file. It's a pointy metal thing I got in one of those cheap "Manicure sets" you see in all the stores around the holidays. Looked like a pretty useless little tool~ until I realized I could scrape dried urates up off the bottom of a plastic tub MUCH easier than I could scrub them up!

I use Chlorhexidine as well.

Cheryl, I totally agree. I was not joking when I agreed with Bruce. I have tubs that are nearly 20 years old that have dried urates that are probably 19.5 years old. Some species have harder urates than others. On really stubborn urates, I use a straight edge screwdriver with a wide blade.
