    My mma fights
Here are two of my first mma fights, I am in the red and black shorts in the first video, and the white shorts in the second video. These were over a year ago and I have improved alot since than. I have 9 fights total I will post some more asap, that are more recent.:)

    cool! :D

Just curious, what did you first start training for?

A younger cousin of mine(17 yo) is just about to start up at a muay thai gym after many years of karate(2nd degree black belt now?), I'm pretty sure he wants to do some kind of fighting at an amateur level eventually. He's not too tall, but he'd be a menace as a featherweight.

Seth petruzelli is a good fighter and a ufc veteran 11-4-0 is not a bad record

Yea Petruzelli is a pretty good fighter..no disrespect towards him...But in that first fight..Kimbo was getting wrecked by James Thompson...I swear that had to be the worst cauliflower ear in history. That match was not a good stoppage either imho...Thompson was still defending himself, something that couldn't be said about Kimbo when Thompson pounded his face for the entire second round.

You obviously know more about this than I do as the only martial arts of any kind I've done was like 4 years of karate as a child and worked on a heavy bag to try and stay in shape in the past year, so correct me if I'm wrong on the first paragraph

P.S. I was a huge fan of Kimbo's youtube fights until I saw the one with the Boston Policeman (Glennon) I think his name was. Kimbo & his cronies were complaining the entire fight.

a one armed hobo could beat Kimbo. the dude has no technique whatsoever. you'd never guess he's been training with Bas Rutten by watching his fights.

I'm sorry for inadvertantly hijacking your thread. This was supposed to be about you and I made a snide remark about Kimbo, thus, seemingly turning it into a Kimbo thread. My sincere apologies...and X2 on the Bas comment!

i'm personally looking forward to seeing Brock Lesnar's progression in the sport. he gets compared to kimbo by a lot of haters. but there is one difference, brock started out as a real athlete and his college wrestling record speaks for itself, as well as the calibre of talent he's taken on so far. Granted i'm a big fan but i know that he isn't going to get past Nog (yeah i don't feel Mir has much of a chance). Nog's got some of the best submission game in the biz and brock is too green to contend with it.

i watched your fight dude and not too bad. the first one you were telegraphing your strikes a bit too much, but if it was your first fight, that is understandable. what with the butterflys and adrenaline. when i wrestled, i still remember my very first match to this day and everything i did wrong lol.

kimbo took a dive on that fight, for sure!! he got paid 500k to take the fight against seth at the last minute since Ken shamrock got a cut on his face and wasnt allowed to fight the day of the fight... elite xc is actually under investigation and the company has reported bankrupt.

they ended up getting cleared about the fight fixing. probably because they went backrupt so there wasn't much point wasting money investigating a company that isn't in existence. although that is no longer true. they are possibly coming back under new ownership.

EliteXC is garbage. The only good fighter they have imho is Gina Carano...and she is a looker to boot!

I don't think they were under investigation for Kimbo taking a dive. I don't think Kimbo would do that. (I'm not a Kimbo fan, by the way). I think the problem was that Seth P. said they paid him extra to stand and fight with Kimbo, rather then taking it to the ground where he would far out class Kimbo.

I'm really not into it like I am football, but I try to stay up on it enough to be somewhat knowledgeble. I just find it intriguing that not that long ago mma was illegal and now you have such a HUGE market for it that the Trumps are getting involved with Aflliction and they're willing to pour the money that EliteXC didn't have into it to compete with the UFC

I think the UFC's biggest weaknesses are ...
1.the lack of women fighters...if they can get some like Gina Carano that can fight and are knock-outs, then more men will tune in.
    2. Dana White because he rules with such an iron fist and because he's a blabbering idiot for calling Fedor(the first or 2nd best fighter in the world (Anderson Silva is the only other person in his league) and by far the best heavyweight) overrated

they were under investigation for paying Seth 100k to not take kimbo to the ground and keep the fight standing, which is basically fight fixing.

i doubt kimbo took a dive, but his opponents probably did. Bo Cantrell either took a dive or is the biggest weak marine ever because he took one shot to the shoulder, a half assed elbow to the side of the head and was on the ground tapping.

affliction won't stick around. Trump will drop them after a year of them losing money hand over fist. they only have a decent heavyweight division, but the "t-shirt guys" running the show, don't know what they are doing. the cards are just mismatches with no interesting matchups. (Granted the upcoming Affliction show is better in that regard, but still not worth purchasing).

there isn't a woman's division, because there are very few woman fighters and they are all over the place weight wise. hell Gina hasn't made weight for her 3 previous fights, which is just classless. (Even though i love Gina to death, this is her one fault).
there just aren't enough female fighters to support an entire division.

dana white rules with an iron fist because he made MMA a household name. he took a company that was failing and turned it into a money making operation. for as great as fedor is? he hasn't exactly proved it the last few years, fighting nothing but cans, other than Tim Silvia.

Yea, those allegations sound about right. But seriously, Tank Abbott, is the man not on SS & Medicare yet? He probably couldn't go a whole match with out collapsing the shape he was in for that fight completely pathetic.

i thought he only said that he'd be willing to do it, but it would be in the WEC and not the UFC and the first fight he'd want to show was Gina against Cyborg, and even then it wouldn't be a division, but rather he'd give her as many fights as he could.

We'll see about the Donald and what he's gonna do. The article I read (Mens Fitness) indicated that his son was handling everything and that the "t-shirt guys" were giving up some control in the cards to somebody(might be totally off on that last part, been a while since I've read it)What is the next card?

Dana did bring MMA to the forefront, I have to give him that, I forgot to mention in my other post that I think he is also the UFC's greatest asset.

...As for Fedor. What other good heavyweights aren't under UFC contract. Dana wouldn't let Randy fight him while he was under contract, even though I'm sure he would have made oogles of money off of it(hmm wonder why?). So is he gonna fight his brother(who has crazy ink btw), I mean, He's good, probably the best I can think of outside of the UFC. Come to think of it. I can't really think of many good heavyweights(UFC or no) other than Fedor right now. Tim Sylva and Heath Herring are the only 2 I can think of other than Fedor or Aleksander.

nover is gonna win by MURDER. like Nog said, that nurse is like anderson silva. nice guy till he gets in that cage. the guy is an animal.

he wasn't going to let Randy go fight Fedor, because fedor would have destroyed randy and it would have looked bad. Fedor's brother is possibly fighting Barnett at the upcoming show. assuming his brother can get cleared to fight in the U.S. Aleks is gonna have a tough road. he was in a russian prison, which must make it hard for him to get a visa, plus the rumors are that he couldn't fight on the last card because he has Hep-B.

Nog is a a HW. Wad, and rampage are LHW. Tito is jobless (lol) and Ruten's knees are shot so he is retired. they have a good crop of up and coming heavyweights though, which is better than Affliction's roster of Well known, but past their prime fighters. they have Lesnar, Valasquez, Carwin, and Dos Santos.

granted i'm not a UFC fanboy by any means, but Affliction's card's haven interested me much because i could pick all the winners without watching. plus they aren't in good shape since their last ppv only did about 60-80k in PPV buys. whereas UFC 91 which featured lesnar did over 1 million buys.

I knew Aleks was a Russian Felon(5 years for Bank Robbery I believe, probably real easy to get a US visa with that attached to your name:rolleyes:), but I hadn't heard about the Hep B.
I couldn't remember if Wad and Rampage were HW or LHW.
I've heard of Barnett and that he's a damn good fighter, but Brock Lesnar...I jus don't think I can take him seriously after the years of roids in the WWE. Sure he is off now, but think of all the strength and muscle he gained from those times, still an unfair advantage if you ask me. Other than him though, I've never even heard of the other 3 you mentioned.

Honestly though...my favorite person in the world to watch fight is Uriah Faber. He is so damn quick and has stupid ridiculous stamina.

yeah i didn't think Mike Brown had much of a shot again Urijah the golden boy, but then brown came in and destroyed him to take the title.

honestly, with his destruction of Heath Herring and then beating Randy, how can you not take brock seriously? yeah he did the WWE thing, but before that he was a highly decorated NCAA Wrestler. As for Roids in the WWE? can't say yes or no. he was huge before he went into the WWE fresh out of college and didn't really get any bigger. he passes all his drug tests, so he's clean. it isn't like taking them years ago is going to give him an unfair advantage now anyway. IF he had taken them during the WWE days, they have long since left his system along with any advantages gained from them. every fight he shows massive improvement and seems to keep getting better. even Royce Gracie had good things to say about Brock from when he did some Jits with him.

Urijah Faber is an animal, but he was out matched by Mike Brown. They are both extremely great athletes but, Brown is much more powerful. If you ask me Urijah has let alot go to his head, and now may be just a thing of the past
