Shes got follicles

Well I was checking on some of my snakes tonite, and I decided to check a couple of my females to see where they are at. Two of my females defintely have follicles:), Ralphy says that this the best time to have a male in there with the female. I counted 7 on one female, and I couldnt get an accurate count on the other. Hopefully the odds god is in my favor this season.:gj:

she is getting ready to shed so I am guessing this is her pre lay shed:)

have you seen her ovulate yet?

if she hasnt ovulated yet then this shed wont be her pre-lay shed.

Im going to check her today to be sure, but she seems pretty lumped up, and she has all the signs saying its about that time. The other one with the follicles I think has awhile yet.

They shed a few times before they ovulate. Keep pairing them up.

yeh as soon as I felt the follicles I paired them up again asap, Im getting impatient lol.

no ovulation as of yet :(, but I know there is still a whole lot of time:)

How big are the follicles? Nickel sized? Quarter sized? Walnut sized?

I have a girl that just shed and is glowing like crazy. She has 7 or so nickel sized follicles. They still have to grow a bit before she ovulates.....

I would say between quarter and walnut size:)

Ooooo yeah, my biggest girl (1600+g) has got some follicles popping up so I've been trying her with my pastel male for the last few weeks few day on few days off but the guys just being a flamer! Won't even move to lock! I usually just find them with her sitting either on top or right behind him. Stupid snakes lol. Well, we've got a snowstorm coming in so hopefully that gets them both in the mood for love!

I will post pics asap of her lumping up but I need to grab more batterys I left my camera on yesterday and the batterys died:(
