Re: mouse bit balls eyeball
Are you serious? That's gotta be so painful... I'd be on the phone with an emergency 24-hour vet right now. I don't play around with that kind of stuff...
Re: mouse bit balls eyeball
yup,serious.
there is no bleeding or anything, its just dented in.
Re: mouse bit balls eyeball
Still, if it were me? Vet.

Re: mouse bit balls eyeball
One of the many dangers we face by feeding live to a snake. Get it to a vet asap and see if there is anything the vet sees that you may not.
Re: mouse bit balls eyeball
poor guy good luck and get him to a vet asap and keep us updated...

Ouch!!! I hope everything goes well at the vet. Good luck
Re: mouse bit balls eyeball
wasnt someone else just asking about switching back to live???
man... im sorry but this is exactly why im a 100 percent advocate of f/t feeding unless live is your last resort... :(
Re: mouse bit balls eyeball
everything is good.no damage to the eye
Re: mouse bit balls eyeball
I had something similar with my large adult female after she laid... her coordination, and I assume muscle control, was off just enough that an ASF was able to get a nip into the eye.
Seems they are more resilient than we thought. I waited a day to do a second exam and she was fine.
Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge on physiology can jump in, but I asssume the outer eye is designed to *resist* such things.
Glad to hear she/he is OK. :)
