    phantoms
has anybody done extensive work with phantoms? And has anything real cool been produced (except the obvious super and lucy.)? I've heard the gene has pastel characteristics?

Which morphs do you guys feel is a neater one to play with: clown or phantom?

I like Clowns but I also like Phantoms I think if I had to choose I'd take a nice Clown over a Phantom any day of the week.

Ralph has plugged that gene into tons of stuff so hes the guy to ask whats been done with it.

Ralph Davis is the one with the Phantoms. Kevin may have got some from Ralph but I doubt it. The Phantom morph has been very well protected by Ralph and only released this year.

Now, is this a Phantom that came from Ralphs line? Or is it a line originating from a wild caught animal that looks like the phantoms? Kind of like the mystics?

Ralph and Kevin are working together on some morphs and they purchase new morphs BETWEEN them. They are actually good friends.
Ralph Davis has produced MANY new morphs, he introduced the Platinum; Butter; Dreamsickle, Lavender Albino and a great many more!

    Hi,

Just a gentle reminder folks - we don't alow sales discussions outside of the for sale forum and the PM system.:)

Asking about availability in general terms is fine but when it gets down to one vendor and specific animals they take the lock off my cage. RAWR. :taz: **cough** ahem... sorry.

There's no telling. He has all those classified clutches on his birthing record that we have no idea what they are.

a well grown on breeder size male. witch means he is obviously working with phantom cross's or supers!

as i said if there is any dinking done it will be kevin who is doing it. who knows maybe he has a phantom coral glow? or a phantom bumblebee, or god knows what else. maybe even a phantom pied (probably a white snake) phantom champagne? lol the possibilities with kevin is never ending.

So could I possibly bring this thread back from the dead and ask why Phantoms are so expensive? Aren't they kind of like a mojave? Or are they not producing a lot of them? I dun get it! Lol Someone please enlighten me, for I am interested in Purple Passions and don't want to make another thread to crowd the forum ;)

I would have made another thread rather than resurrect a 4 year old one...

But to answer you, yes there are far less of them available and the Super is awesome. Hence the higher price.

lol, I was wondering why I was reading a thread from 2008.

I don't see too many Phantoms around here and when I do they have a pretty hefty price tag. In my eyes they are a decent looking snake, but really turn up the heat in their combos. Phantoms will remain higher in price until the market becomes more saturated with them like any other morph we have encountered.

Wouldn't mind adding one to the collection if I were to come across one and the price was 'right'.

Also, they are not really like Mojaves.

My Pastel Phantom looks nothing like a Pastave....

Ok thanks for clearing that up for me :) and sorry you guys are NOTHING like my old fish forum where you'd get flamed for posting up new threads about a subject discussed before. I just thought I would ask here so I wouldn't get in trouble! :P

In the spirit of thread conservation ...

Is there now a consensus on if phantom and mystic are equivalent?

I know, we still can’t agree on if lesser and butter are the exact same thing or not so unlikely there is a consensus on phantom/mystic either but just wondering if one opinion is more common now.

from what ive seen and haven't seen many in person mostly photos. Phantom/mojave seem to be darker than mystic/mojave idk though there's so many comparison forums out there and they all seem to be almost too similar to be different... I say there the same.. Lessers and butters i have the same opinion on they are just too similar to be considered different. Buy whats cheaper if you want to get into them because in a couple years there just going to be like lessers and butters the same price as they get more popular.

That's a good question. I've always thought that they were the same thing but it would be interesting to see what others opinions are. Maybe I'll start a poll.
