    What do you think?
Is it just me or is there something weird about this pastel?

(forgive me - it's hard to capture how remarkable he is with nothing but an incandescent bulb at night lol)

This one probably captures it the best:

I know you're asking about genetics and morph specific opinions of which I know absolutely nothing but I just wanted to say that I think he is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to see him in person!!

Is it just me or does his pattern look like hearts?!

Lol it does kindof! I named him mouse because of the little picture of a mouse that he has on him (it's in all the pics - let me know if you see it).

He's so tiny! I thought he was really pretty when we got him but then on the way home he started shedding! i was all : woah!!!

His blushing is amazing, and makes his "black" look chocolately. I can't wait to see how he matures. The yellow is exceptionally bright, but there's some browning at the edges. I'd be so excited to see supers he produces. Congrats on the new purchase!

At home I doubt and talked to Kevin.
He said:"...no way, this is no Lemmon. That orange will turn into brown...."

Yep I know what you mean - In fact that was the only critique i had of him when i was looking at him: the brown is already quite brown, and he's still practically a hatchling.

On the other hand (i told myself, when deciding if i needed him :D) the brown has some odd character: it's not just the dullness that hangs out at the top of so many pastels' alien heads, it's a spotty, unfading sort of brown that looks... i dunno... calico-ey? or something? Aside of that, looking at his yellow plus that intense blushing and kind-of odd pattern just made him irresistible.

I very much look forward to seeing how he matures...

Thanks for the feedback guys - glad i'm not just crazy lol

Do you have another grown up picture of this one. Honestly they don't look like the same animal to me due to differences in the pattern. The Pattern on the neck first on the baby it does not close at the back of the head and on the adult it does. Second is the stripe on the tail, if you look at the adult it goes way up the body and on the baby it does not. I could be wrong and appologize if I am, but it doesn't look like the same animal to me. Just my Honest opinion.

Looks like the same animal to me. It's just that the photo angles and coil twists are so different from one set of photos to another. And I don't see a "tail stripe" in any of the pics. :confuzd: Not sure what you're comparing there.

The tail stripe is the stripe on the adult that is on the spine from the tail going up the back. The tail is actually quite clear if you look at the direction of the scales you can see the tail is the part of the snake right below the big bend in the neck. The other think I was looking at is the Pattern right behind the head. On the little one you have a dot then what looks like a horse shoe then on the adult you have the dot but NO horse shoe. I am not saying it is definately not the same snake just Patterns don't tend to change and the patterns don't match in my honest opinion. I could be wrong and have been before not afraid to admit that. I just would like more pics for comparison.

It is a BEAUTIFUL snake either way!

I see it too...good eyes. Look at the black at the back of the head, the one snake has a "tab" coming off of it and the other one doesn't?

Not a problem Fastdad, I just wanted to see the extra pics because I was pretty sure they were different snakes due to the pattern differences.

Thank you for posting the extra pics of both animals. They have both grown to become beautiful animals!

Both of these look to be low grade super pastels. Only one way to find out...breed them to a normal female and if all the offspring are pastels then you've got yourself a super pastel male dirt cheap! Good looking animals no matter what they are!

    The "Morphie-Pastel"?
    or
    the "FastDad-Pastels"?
