    Nice addition. On the species note though, that is the Chilean Rose Tarantula (Grammostola porteri), not the Red Rose Tarantula (Grammostola rosea). They were reclassified into different species instead of color phases, and the true rosea is fairly rare...

    Eh. I had snakes before I had a T, but my T collection tops my snake collection in numbers. No reason you can't keep both (like meeeeeee!)

    When did that happen? I have almost 300 tarantulas and am on arachnoboards every day and have never heard of this. Can you tell me where you found this information? I need to pass it on.
    My understanding was alway that G. rosea has at least 2 color phases, the normal and the red.
    Can you help direct me to your information source? I'm dying of curiosity!!!!!!
